2025, a year of learning, slowing down, and staying true.
This year with 8storeytree has been… a lot.
Not in a dramatic way (okay, maybe a little😅), but I would think more in constant way that comes with doing things we truly care about.

There were moments of doubt, long nights, and many small decisions that didn’t always have clear answers. But there were also moments that reminded us why we started this in the first place, the conversations, the shared love for film, and the people who genuinely understood what we’re trying to do.

One thing that became clearer this year is how we want to exist.

Our space isn’t a walk-in retail shop in the usual sense. It’s by appointment, not because we want to be distant, but because we want to be present. We want the time and space to talk, discuss, share ideas, and to connect with people who are equally passionate about film and analog culture.

Some might say it’s a bit “巴闭” (in Cantonese), why not just open the doors to everyone?
But for us, it’s about intention. Quality over quantity. Relationships over transactions.

2025 taught us that growth doesn’t always mean getting bigger. Sometimes it means getting clearer, about who we are, what we stand for, and who we want to share this journey with.

To everyone who’s supported 8storeytree, dropped by, chatted with us, or simply believed in what we’re doing, thank you. Truly. ❤️

Here’s to moving forward thoughtfully, staying grounded, and continuing to create something meaningful, one step at a time.
