The best part of diving? Sharing these rare sightings with our guests. This beauty was cruising through Hulhumale Neru today!

Huge thanks to everyone who chose MY Dive for their Maldivian underwater adventures this week. Who’s joining us for the next one?

Few weeks back at the one and only Rasdhoo Madivaru Ridge. 🔥🦈

Second to none when it comes to witnessing grey reef sharks aggregating up close. The kind of encounters that remind you why we dive. 🌊

IM TERRIFIED! 🦈👀 Past research suggests that 71% of global oceanic shark and ray populations have declined since 1970 and an assessment by the IUCN Red List Categories in 2020 showed that 37% on estimate of all known Shark, Chimaera and Ray species were threatened with extinction. @iucnshark @iucn_official @iucnred_list

We know the fundamental issues and it’s not hard to see what we are doing to our ecosystems and species.

What can you do about it? 🤔

Spread the message 🗣️

Share positivity and advocacy posts 👩🏻‍🏫

Challenge your mindset on sharks if you still believe they are monsters by understanding what they do for the ecosystem 🌊

Support shark charities but also any ocean, sustainability and ecosystem charities as remember it’s all connected 🩵

Be mindful and research the current issues 🎣

Support responsible and research based shark and diving organisations and tourism 🦈

The true lords of the sea, moving through their kingdom with a grace and power beyond words. We are merely visitors in their world, privileged to witness their magnificence.

Every encounter is guided by two principles: the safety of our guests and the utmost respect for these extraordinary animals. Because being in their kingdom is a privilege, never a right. 🦈🌊
