Buddy Wells remains one of my all-time favourite improvisors on saxophone.

Here, he takes a solo on Water from an Ancient Well, Abdullah Ibrahim's iconic composition. The footage is from ArtsCape's Abdullah Ibrahim Memorial Concert held on 29 June 2026.

And this is what the record sounds like… No tricks. Music was always about musicians playing together. No click track, no Grid just a natural vibe of the players freedom and the sound of the room. The story of #Brother also has that same connection of two incredibly close friends simply being there for each other. ‘I can be there if you let me’ Out 24/07

|Elephant Corner|

That was the original name of Franschhoek- Olifantshoek - Elephant’s Corner - because the elephants from the Knysna Forest along the famed Garden Route used to trek into this valley to have their babies.

The last elephant was purportedly shot in this valley - now host to the @mjffranschhoek - in the 1860s. There is still an elusive elephant in the original forests near Plettenberg Bay and the book ‘Circles in the Forest’ by Dalene Matthee is a great South African read.

This kind of information is what a passionate local tour guide can impart to enhance your visit to the Cape Winelands!

We didn’t just attend Montreux Jazz Festival. We captured it.

Every note that hung in the mountain air and every face lost in the music that melted over the Franschhoek Valley like it was performing just for us.

The DJI Air 3 S gave us angles we didn’t even know we needed and delivered footage that does justice to one of the most legendary festivals in the world.

This is why we do what we do. This is why DJI exists.
For the moments too big for a single frame. 🎷🎬
