So for those who didn’t know! I have been in a 16 week mentorship with @creativefuturescollective @sohohouse . It’s been truly a wonderful experience and a time to step outside of my comfort zone. For this project I wanted to take a leap with directing an interview series that highlights Austin locals called “Entering the Scene” For the first interview I decided to highlight my talented fellow mentees from my cohort and their talents. I always believed in paying it forward for other creatives and businesses and this is the way for me to pay it forward doing what I know best :) The full video will be out tbd but here is a teaser! Wanted to thank everyone again. My mentor @jessicagomezrees for her guidance, Creatives Future Collective, my production team, and my fellow mentees!

Marchele (she/her) and Daren (he/him) are father and daughter. Their relationship has played a significant role in shaping their evolving personalities. I’ve come to the realization again after a hiatus from creating, that it truly is the people I create with who bring out this best in mycreative endeavours. At the beginning of this year I hit a mindset where I thought that it would be better off to do things alone regarding my creative pursuits. But that kind of mindset wont get you far especially within an industry where its important to value each role that a creative person brings to the plate. So whether you’re looking to be a creative or continue your journey as one, remember that you’ll reach more of your goal with others than doing it alone ❤️

the last prompt was so nice i had to put it twice ✨ thinking on that one for myself made me realize i have a lot more to be grateful for than i make a conscious effort to remember sometimes. there's even a past version of me that would love to place a couple things from the now, too, and that's a very humbling yet beautiful thing to own ♥️♥️ sometimes the grass *is* greener on the other side, and sometimes the grass is greener where you water it, but sometimes your grass is plenty green on its own and it's okay if a cloudy day makes them a little more grey than usual for a while.
