To my beautiful mother, thank you for showing me what it means to be an Alpha woman. You’ve shown me what it means to be respectful, to lead with grace, and to care for others before myself. You exemplify service to all mankind through your work with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and Jack and Jill of America, Inc. I’ve seen how hard you work behind closed doors for your sorors and your sister moms even when you’re tired and overwhelmed, I hope they’re as grateful for you as I am. You’ve worked tirelessly to give me and Elliott a life filled with opportunities, encouragement, and never ending support. I’m more thankful than you’ll ever know. You once said me and Elliott were your purpose, I want you to know my purpose is to uphold the legacy you’ve trusted me with and use the tools you’ve given me to excel in any space I walk into. You are my mother, my sister, and my person. I will always have your back just like you have mine. I love you.

To the AXtraordinary Alpha Chi Chapter, thank you for pushing me and helping me grow as a leader. You’ve shown me what it means to persevere through hardship and continue the work no matter what. We’ve made an amazing impact on this campus and I can’t wait to see what’s next for the chapter. To my on campus sisters, know I’m only a call away if you need me.

This year’s Legislative Day at West Charlotte High School was one for the books!

📖 Grades K-3:
Our youngest members stepped into the world of governance with a mock trial and hands-on lessons in lawmaking. They even elected governors and worked collaboratively to create new laws—leadership in the making!

⚖️ Grades 4-12:
Our older kids engaged with the U.S. Attorney’s Office, learning about their rights and how to safely interact with law enforcement. Esteemed panelists, including judges, deputy sheriffs, school board members, and attorneys, shared invaluable insights, addressing critical topics with expertise and care.

🍴 Lunch & Fellowship:
We wrapped up with a delicious boxed lunch and, of course, captured the memories with group photos!

✨ A huge thank you to our Legislative Committee and our incredible Chair & Sergeant-at-Arms, Tiffany McGee, for making this day impactful and seamless.
