POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
The East Coast of 🇺🇸 is now complete ✌🏽 The momentum is building. We’re starting to recognise patterns in the conversations we’re having — what people value, what they’re missing, and what they’re looking for from their communities. The last two days took us on a whirlwind tour through Florida, running activations in Miami and Tampa, where we connected with close to 300 people from all walks of life. Different backgrounds. Different stories. Different reasons for being there. But so much common ground. It’s hard not to feel something when you see how much people are willing to give each other when given the opportunity to connect 🫶🏽 Tomorrow, we continue through the Panhandle, with the early mornings becoming increasingly important as we near closer to the desert heat. I’m excited to see more of the South, and eventually experience the Midwest. One week down. A long way to go — and already so much to take in 🙏🏽🇺🇸

Ride The Nation’ 🇺🇸 Days 5–7. Delaware → Maryland → West Virginia → Virginia → North Carolina. Another @outride activation in Maryland with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School through the Riding for Focus Program, run by my good mate @johnglodek From there we headed into West Virginia and Virginia. With no activations planned, I had some time to really think about the scale of this ambitious feat. The best conversations often come when you least expect them, and that’s what I love about these days. Got to chat with Nate Hawley, a biologist, about mental health, his profession, staying active and much more. A great way to wrap up West Virginia. Day 7 was definitely the toughest so far. A rough night of sleep with the hotel neighbours keeping us up, followed by rubbing brake pads all morning. I just couldn’t find a rhythm. But we made it. 7 days down. 7 weeks to go.

Yesterday was a massively rad moment in time! It was truly an honor to play a small part in hosting @jackultracyclist on his #RideTheNation Project! Watching Jack roll into our parking lot after riding across the state of Maryland to the cheers from my students was a moment I soon won’t forget! He shook their hands, high fived, and answered all their questions without missing a beat. They took him on a ride around the Black Hill Trail which is a highlight of our Riding for Focus Program. Jack pedaled next to just about every student over the 2 mile ride. I then got to ride with Jack and catch up on life for a bit before he finished his route for the day. We even got to meet back up so Stacy, Sadie, & Simon could finally meet him in person! Thank you to the whole @outride for helping organize this event! Thank you to the @newform_community for supporting Jack! Thank you @logytfullington for capturing videos and pictures! Thank you to the students, staff, & admin @mlking_physed for continuing to believe in the power of the bicycle! Bon Courage Jack! Be safe brother!

“After biking, I’m more energized, I’m able to focus till the end of the day” To the teachers, the students, the parents... the whole Outride community - this is what it’s all about. At Outride, we know that bikes are an incredible tool for social, emotional, and cognitive health. And the students who are part of #RidingforFocus feel those effects - it’s fun, it’s connective, it’s energizing, it’s time to relieve stress.
