Brought to life by @evlve.creative , the experience also featured an artist spotlight with Maaly Williams and an interactive art cube where guests could leave their mark. Music, art, and creativity all in one space. 🎨✨

During some downtime, I even got to catch a couple of artist performances through my lens. 📸

Attended my first @culturecon couple weekends ago and got to see a few of my @oneschoolus homies! We battled out ad briefs for 6 months and never met each other IRL.

Being there got me thinking though- Culture Con is really the Creatives' Homecoming. Being a grad of an HBCU, you feel the importance of fellowship, celebration and community through a Homecoming. More importantly you’re reminded of the time in your life where you were surrounded by people that look like you striving toward a shared goal. CultureCon brought that feeling to me as a Black creative.

Next year I'll be back not as an attendee but in some other capacity. Maybe I'm demoing a creative tech workshop, maybe soaking, I don't know but I'm starting it here now so I can read this a year from now knowing I claimed it.

A year ago today, we stood in front of the people we love most and chose forever. 🍊

This first year of marriage has held so much life. We’ve celebrated, grown, adjusted, laughed, cried, dreamed new dreams and learned even more about what it means to truly be partners.

And through every version of this year, it’s still you.
The person I want to tell everything to, dream with, laugh with, annoy and come home to.

There’s something beautiful about not having it all figured out, but getting to figure it out together. And I’m so grateful I get to do that with you.

Happy one year, Maal. Here’s to us, the life we’re building and forever to go. ♾️🧡

Juneteenth is more than a date! It’s a reflection of resilience, resistance, beauty, memory, and imagination.

This weekend, I had the opportunity to experience @theartofblackness group exhibition, where every piece told a different story of the Black experience. From vibrant portraits and ancestral symbolism to powerful works exploring identity, liberation, culture, and legacy, the exhibition reminded me that Black art doesn’t just decorate walls, it documents history! #ART1O1 #RoeMelloe #artandculture #Juneteenth #Chicago

Happy Father’s Day to my husband, my partner, and one of my greatest flexes. 🧡

Royce absolutely adores you, and honestly, I do too.

Watching you be a dad has been one of my favorite parts of our journey. Royce is so smart, creative, curious, and kind, and so much of that comes from you. The way he thinks, imagines, and sees the world reminds me of you every day.

Thank you for showing him what strength looks like, but also softness, patience, love, and integrity. The things you pour into him daily will shape the man he becomes, and that means everything to me.

You do so much without needing recognition. You show up, you support us, you protect us, and you love us well. You spoil us every day, so it’s only right that today we spoil you.

I couldn’t have chosen a better father for our son or a better partner to do life with!

Forever Mine Fest was simply amazing. The culture was on full display! The energy was present all throughout the festival, specifically the Silent Disco. So glad I was able to capture these moments for Evlve Creative x Red Bull .
