Got Cad last week to replace the head/hat/head gear I was missing from when I got my 2nd hand Turbo Tank years ago. I also made him a cloth extension of his jacket and his twin LL-30 blaster pistols.

Chapter IX: The Marshal.
What a great start to the new season. What was your favourite moment?

Really loved how much care was taken with this story. With the history of SW film and TV, I would have expected Boba to just be reintroduced with the armour still in his possession but they included Cobb Vanth who had the armour in the Aftermath book series. As far as I remember it wasn’t ever explicitly stated that the acid-marked armour he got from the Jawa’s was even Boba’s but I might be wrong.

We also got to see a variant of the Krayt Dragon which has been a part of the universe since 77. It also housed a pearl which was introduced in novels and most prominently known from KotOR. My favourite Easter egg would have to be that Cobb’s speeder was a modified engine of the Pod Racer Anakin built but more specifically the orange plating in it that was likely painted by Sebulba after it was given to him.

Commander Bow.
This Clone Stormtrooper from Legends was promoted to Commander of the 501st after Appo’s death. What do you think?

Pretty standard decaled 501st from @avfigures with cloth accessories by me. The most unique part of this figure is the custom macrobinoculars in his helmet. They started off as an official Lego visor shield which I cut the the sides off and sculpted onto. I may look to get this sculpted in the future.

Revenge of the Sith Ultimate Cut. This edit consists of Revenge of the Sith, The Clone Wars: Siege of Mandalore and the original Clone Wars: Battle of Coruscant all cut together, jumping between scenes creating the ultimate RotS experience. Have you seen it?

I can’t find who made the edit I watched but you can find versions of it by searching “RotS Siege of Mandalore cut”. It seems that most versions will just be Ep III and SoM but the version I found also included the Battle of Coruscant from the original 2003 series and RotS deleted scenes.

It was a really cool experience and the change between visual styles (live action vs animated) wasn’t jarring at all, like you’d imagine. The inclusions of deleted scenes like the secret senators meetings were really great and enhanced the political unrest regarding the Chancellor. There a few scenes that were seemingly unnecessarily cut such as; Grievous having his chest crushed by Mace and the “so love has blinded you” Anakin/Padmé interaction. I know that the dialogue was cringe worthy but so many lines in the film are so why cut any? My biggest problem with it was that Grievous’ 2003 voice was dubbed with lines from Battlefront II 2017. I understand wanting a consistent voice but a) Anakin has 2 distinct voices and the clones have 3 between the mediums and b) the lines are so noticeably out of place as they are individual quotes one after the other.

All in all this is a must see experience for any hardcore Revenge of the Sith and Clone Was fan but all these stories do work better as originally intended.

Ahsoka Tano’s Lightsabers (CW) which colour blades do you like more? Will you make them?

This tutorial for Ahsoka’s dual lightsabers need only 3 pieces for both. That includes; 1x frictionless technic pin and 2x standard lightsaber hilts. You’ll also need some sculpting material to add all the details.

The coloured lines are where you’ll need to cut using a knife, keeping the sections within the boxes. The blue lines are for the emitter which changes length depending on which hilt you’re making.

AAT comparison and mod tutorial. Which set do you think is better and do you like the modifications?

The tan Trade Federation AAT was released in 2015 based on The Phantom Menace while the blue Separatist one was released 2020 and based on The Clone Wars.

I think the tan one has a better build. The proportions seem more accurate but I do really like the CIS colour scheme of blue and grey. As for the figure, it’s hands down 2020. The 2 exclusives (Ahsoka and the Clone) are amazing and and the AAT drivers are uncommon enough to still be desirable.

Mod tutorial:
Remove the turret and swap the 4x4 turntable and the 1x4 tile behind it so that the turret sits 1 stud further back.
Remove the 6L axel and 2 technic pin connectors from the cannon and replace them with 1 2L axel (additional piece).
Remove the the secondary cannons from either side from the clips and flip them round so the longer barrel is at the top.
