Our first sample is being made, and naturally we’re already thinking about what goes underneath it.

A few mats we think would pair beautifully with the Houston set. We have a favorite…which one is yours?

Sharing Hebe: Just As Pretty As A Peach, an Appalachian Goddess if I ever knew one. Modeled after my quirky great aunt, Lois Mae. Along with her faithful companion piece, Tenda the Parakeet! Thank you @westminsterpres @mne_textiles for having my velvet paintings in the beautiful Schilling Gallery, I am so grateful! Thank you @mamabrownx2 for helping me write stories that helped my goddesses come to life!
Something amazing- if anyone is interested in viewing the collection you can contact me and we can set up a time just for you!!

This year has been a master class for me in the idea of “both things can be true.” While it seems counterintuitive for me to share the amazing news that I have TWO ART SHOWS opening this week after grief just keeps hitting us so hard, I know that celebrating the art I care about so deeply is my next right thing. If you know me, you know that since I was little, I have carried a passion for Dolly Parton that could not be dimmed. I have loved her like she was mine, just like we all have. I have been unable to grieve publicly, but I appreciate that our collective love for her is ringing out. A dear friend of mine passed last September, so that also weighs on my heart right now. This is her portrait. This is one of the most lovely Appalachian goddesses I could ever paint. I give you Euterpe: The Mountains Are Still Singing. Euterpe is the greek goddess of music, and our Bethany WAS music. At long last (because I feel like I’ve been working on it for a long time) my velvet painting series is ready to show! They will be at the Schilling Gallery. Thank you @westminsterpres @mne_textiles ♥️♥️
I am also lucky to have been asked by @frenchfriedvintage French Fried Vintage to fill a last minute spot as well this week- First Friday at their fantastic vintage shop! I adore Jenny and April and I can’t wait to hang with them on Friday. My Sun and Moon Girl Collection, plus some other beauties, will be there.🪩

Life is a such a crazy mixture of heartache and elation. While you’re finding your way, I hope you know you’re not alone. Love yall. Like crazy.

Join us tonight for First Friday, from 5-9 PM, as we celebrate the opening of 100 & Under: Dinner Party!

Centered around the ritual of gathering, this exhibition showcases handmade objects created to bring people together. Featuring a wide variety of pieces perfect for your next dinner party, this exhibition highlights a group of over 20 local, regional, and Arrowmont-connected artists. Embodying our mission of enriching lives through art and craft, our 100 & Under exhibitions are designed to invite more handmade work into people’s everyday lives.

Together, this collection of dinner wares showcase the wide range of mediums explored at the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, with each piece offering a thoughtful exploration of material, form, and function. This exhibition will be on view through August 29, 2026.

To culminate the exhibition, please join us Saturday, August 29, for a special pop-up event with Rebecca and Devon Smedley of Rising Moons Farms. Located in Philadelphia, Tennessee, Rising Moons Farms is a family-owned, veteran-operated farm dedicated to providing naturally grown produce and handcrafted food products. Visitors will have the opportunity to purchase seasonal produce, farm-fresh eggs, salsa, herbs, jellies, and other locally made goods.

From handmade dinner wares to locally grown food, this exhibition celebrates the people, traditions, and shared experiences that bring us together.

We’re open Wednesday-Saturday, 10 AM-5 PM, located at 110 S. Gay St. Knoxville, TN.
