How many people get to say they’ve travelled overseas with their brothers to do what they love? We’re thankful everyday that we get to live this dream. Every day we fight to keep this dream alive. @pitchscotland all we have to say is no notes. Sensational. Thank you for the new battery in our backs. To everyone we met in Scotland we will absolutely see you soon. 2027 SOL x Europe 🫱🏾‍🫲🏿 (inshallah)

Shipping up to Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 pt 2

Best believe Scotland is on the bingo card for every year to come. What an experience. Thank you 🙏🏿 @pitchscotland

We landed at 7am on September 2nd, a magical finger snapped and the threw us into a whirlwind of studio sessions with some of the most talented people I’ve ever met. A few pubs, pints & performances later we were on stage performing for a room of new friends, Scottish locals, and everyone in between. We’ve been told we ‘Shut it down’ and have been dubbed ‘The lads dem’

By 7am September 6th we walked through the airport en route back to Toronto as different men. We had perspective shifting conversations, and made meaningful relationships that are now forever. The fire in us is burning blue and white like the hottest flame or the Scottish flag. We are changed. Not because of the place alone, but because of the experience @pitchscotland @up2stndrd and all our new people allowed us to have here.

Thank you and see you again soon 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Buckie to Glasgow 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I arrived at PITCH with business cards in my pocket, music on a USB and plenty going through my head.

Watching the A&R room nod along before the panel had even said a word was a moment I’ll remember. Hearing my sound placed in the High Focus lane gave me real belief in the direction.

But the biggest takeaway was the people. Some conversations were about music and others were simply about life. I came home with genuine connections and a clearer sense of where I’m going.

Big respect to @pitchscotland and everyone who made time for a conversation. Proper glad I made the journey.

Next stop: Aberdeen Music Week 🙌🏼

Every Friday, we spotlight someone who has helped shape Scottish Hip Hop, from MCs, DJs and producers to the people building things behind the scenes.

This Friday, we’re spotlighting Mobo Agoro — artist manager, curator, booker, project lead and someone who has put real work into Scottish Hip Hop and underground music.

Scenes do not grow on talent alone.

They need people making calls, building platforms, booking shows, opening doors and getting artists into the right rooms.

Mobo has done that through UP2STNDRD, PITCH Scotland and his wider artist-development work.

He has helped support artists, shape line-ups, build networks and connect Scottish Hip Hop with wider industry spaces.

That kind of work is easy to overlook because it is not always centre stage.

But it matters.

Scottish Hip Hop has never had a big machine behind it. It has been built by artists, DJs, producers, promoters, radio shows, youth projects, community spaces and people doing the graft year after year.

Mobo is one of those culture-builders helping artists move forward, reach new audiences and be taken seriously.

Hip Hop in Scotland is not built by hype alone.

It is built by people creating opportunities and backing the scene properly.

Salute to Mobo for the platform-building, artist support, bookings, networks and work he continues to put into Scottish Hip Hop and underground culture 🔥🔥🔥
