I had been looking forward to this pool day for MONTHS and it somehow ended up being even prettier in person 🥹☀️💗

Misha put so much thought into making the day special for Aspen’s mom while she’s visiting, and I honestly felt really touched just getting to be included in it. Everything was so colorful and fun and full of little details, and the weather could not have been more perfect.

Also, meeting Aspen’s mom was such a pleasure 🥹 She is lovely!!

I took way too many pictures, laughed a lot, floated around like I had absolutely no responsibilities, and thoroughly enjoyed myself 😂👙💧⛱️☀️

Such a good day. Like… genuinely.

Breaking the surface of the pond, the sweeping branches of Big Mama’s willow tree hold more than a few watery secrets. Tucked into the hollows of the river bed lives one of Whimsy Wood’s sweetest creatures: the Axolotl!

Known to her friends as Gilly, our summer icon has been working hard on her whimsical water ballet. Darting too and fro along the sandy bottom, Gilly has been honing in on her technique with a little bit Big Mama’s coaching. “She’s a natural!” She said, “after all, she’s got built in jazz hands.”

You may be able to spot Gilly this summer beneath the willow curtains dancing and twirling to her hearts content.
