You don’t have to compromise to model

If you only see a specific type of modeling portrayed and considered as successful then yes you will think that’s the only way.

This was me, only thinking I had to be young, and sexy to see success in the modeling industry

Sexy pictures are NOT what makes a model. I used to think it did though. It’s simply not true!

Modeling offers so much more than being young and sexy. You can portray so much more without wearing dental floss. You can do this as a commercial or lifestyle model.

Think of all the advertisements you see in this world. You see babies, grandmas, and all types of characters being portrayed. Girl, this is modeling and it’s where I can age and not show my tale to make it as a professional model 🤣

I know a lot of people want to model but don’t know how it will fit with where they are in life, their faith or values, so make sure you save this and share it with the girlies over 30 trying to step into the modeling industry!

Here’s how to organize a Photoshoot abroad:

1. Find photographers through Airbnb experiences or through instagram using hashtags related to the place you’re visiting. ( mine is Tulum Mexico)

2. search #tulumphotographer, scrolled through different accounts’ pages to see if I liked their style and locations.
3. Send some DMs with dates for the shoot and inquired about rates.
4. picked a location and time and set expectations for how many edited photos would be included.
5. Create moodboard using photos from Pinterest or instagram, send to the photographer to show the poses, style and vibes you’re going for.
6. Bring the moodboard with you ( at the shoot) on your phone or iPad to the shoot and make sure you get all the poses inspos from the moodboard !

I’d recommend this if you’re traveling solo, with friends, with a Bae , with family - basically it’s always a fun idea to get professional pics on vacation!

Sometime it’s great to take your own pictures but I’d suggest this whether you’re on a solo traveler, With your besties, with a Bae, or with family. Professional vacation photos are always a fantastic idea!
