You’d never put diesel in a petrol car. So why are you doing it to your body? @harveyriversofficial and his business partner @thats.adampowell made a call most blokes in business would never make. A full year off alcohol. No Friday knock-off beers. No client lunches that turn into a big night. No Sunday write-off. And it changed everything. Clearer head on Monday morning. Sharper decisions. More energy for the business, and more of themselves left over for the people at home. The fog they’d accepted as normal was gone. The part nobody warns you about: when you stop drinking, you become the odd one out. The bloke who isn’t drinking somehow becomes the problem. But as Harvey says, it was the best thing that ever happened to him. Because you find out fast who your real people are, and who was only there for the sesh. This isn’t a sobriety lecture. Harvey isn’t saying he’ll never drink again. He’s saying he finally looked at it honestly. You can buy a new car. You can’t buy a new body. Hear the full conversation with Harvey on the next episode of the @modernpartnership podcast, with @benlowecoaching and @tiarnylowe 🎙 Drops Monday 12 October, 10AM AEST 📺 YouTube and Spotify - link in bio 👇🏽 have you ever given up drinking? The exact process 👇🏽 You’ve got a list of what you want in a partner. Have you ever written the list of what you’re bringing? @benlowecoaching breaks down a simple exercise that changes how you look at relationships. Grab two pieces of paper. 📝 Paper 1: Your ideal partner How do they talk? How do they show up? What are their morals and values? How do they treat people when nobody’s watching? Be specific. 📝 Paper 2: You Exactly who you are right now, down to the T. The good, the bad and the ugly. No highlight reel. Hold the mirror up and be brutally honest. Now put them side by side and ask yourself two questions: 1. Am I the kind of person who would attract this person? 2. Could I actually hold that relationship if I got it? Most people never ask the second question. They chase the partner on paper 1 while living like the person on paper 2, then wonder why it never lasts. The gap between those two pages isn’t bad luck. It’s your work. So stop asking “where is the right person?” Start asking “how do I become the person they’d want to be with?” Hear more from @benlowecoaching and @tiarnylowe on Episode 1 of the @modernpartnership podcast. 🎙 Out now 📺 YouTube and Spotify 🔗 Link in bio What’s the one trait in a partner you won’t compromise on? A wedding won’t fix it. A baby won’t fix it. So many couples go into marriage quietly thinking “things will change once we’re married.” Or “it’ll get better once we have a baby.” It won’t. A ring doesn’t fix how you communicate. A baby doesn’t heal what you’ve been avoiding. A bigger house doesn’t rebuild trust. All of it just adds weight to whatever you’ve already built. If the foundation is solid, that weight makes you stronger. If it isn’t, it’s a house on sand. When the storm comes, and it always comes, it falls to pieces. Concrete is built in the boring moments. The hard conversations you have instead of avoiding. Owning your part when you’d rather defend it. Keeping your word when nobody’s checking. Choosing each other on the days it’s hard. That’s the rebar. That’s what holds when life hits. The question isn’t “when are we getting married?” It’s “what are we actually building on?” Hear more from @benlowecoaching and @tiarnylowe on Episode 1 of the @modernpartnership podcast. 🎙 Drops Monday 5 October, 10AM AEST 📺 YouTube and Spotify 👇 Do you agree with this?
