So many of us donned a little Golden Age glamour for a place that has given Modesto nearly a century of stories. ✨

I had a phenomenal night celebrating The State Theatre alongside a wonderfully diverse group of people who share an appreciation for art, history, culture, and community.

I love living in a city that makes room for both preservation and possibility. Places like The State Theatre, The Jewel, and Intermission honor where we’ve been while creating new reasons to gather, connect, and experience our community together.

Even better than the beautiful evening was being surrounded by people who believe these places, and the experiences they create, are worth investing in.

A special thank you to @modestochris and Sierra Pacific Warehouse Group for inviting me to be part of their group for the evening.

Modesto looked pretty darn good in its Hollywood finest. 🎬✨

Figaro Figaro Figaro
Wow, if you missed Figaro, you missed a fun and well performed opera. Even if you don’t “like” opera, Figaro is a hall of fame gateway to the art of opera. It was funny, catchy, fast paced, and. some of the arias and pieces even poked fun at opera. Gabriel Manro was great as Figaro and I had fun helping promote Figaro with him at the Graffiti USA Museum, as did other organizations. In 2 acts the popular and sneaky Barber of Seville (Figaro) helped a Count secretly court a young woman so she would fall in love with him, without knowing he was royalty. Fun time and congrats to the case, the live orchestra and Roy Stevens and Annalisa Winberg for a great production. Modesto is richer because of our amazing performing arts. #opera #performingarts #gallocenter #modestoopera #figaro
Confession- still makes us think about Bugs Bunny and the Beatles Help.
