Tulum owed us absolutely nothing ✨ Celebrating my birthday with these amazing ladies & gentlemen was truly a vibe. Every day was action packed with all my favorite things. Good food, beautiful views, laughter, peace, adventure, and genuine connection. And in a world that feels a little crazy right now, I’m especially grateful for the people who still showed up, showed love, and took this journey with me. I even gave everyone the option to cancel, but they stood beside me anyway, and we made memories I’ll never forget. Also… contrary to what social media and TV may be saying, Tulum was peaceful, calming, beautiful, and honestly not as expensive as people make it seem. In fact, women are always welcome unless a flyer explicitly says “men only.” A lot of our support comes from women, and we are not naive to that. So first—thank you. No perfect way to say this… so I’m just gonna say it 🤍 (yeah… it took me a few tries and I still couldn’t find the *right* word, so I left the real moments in) We’re rebranding. From day one, this platform has been about celebrating and uplifting Black and Brown nail artists, culture, and creativity. As we continue to grow, it’s important that what we’re building is clear, original, and unapologetically ours. We’ve become aware of similarities between our previous name and an existing nail product brand. While we don’t believe our platform would realistically be confused, we also recognize that continuing under the same name could unintentionally benefit another brand more than the movement we’re building—and we’re not doing all this work to build someone else’s name. Out of respect for our vision, our work, and our community, we’re choosing to step fully into our own identity. Our page was taken down in less than 24 hours after communication, so this all happened fast—but we’re moving forward with purpose. So moving forward … welcome to SET CULTURE ✨ The mission remains the same. The platform remains the same. Same purpose. Same energy. Bigger vision. Now that the words are out (even if they didn’t come out perfect), it’s time to get back to what matters—creating, celebrating, promoting, and building.
