offhandedly, i texted my friend, "what's life if not lived spontaneously?" the time was 2:22AM, and i had spent an entire day with a group of beautiful strangers i had only met yesterday

25/07/26 (overdue post i know), i left for KL on my first solo trip in my 24 years of life with the sole purpose to watch MISTER TWO FIVE perform live (artist pictured in orange jumpsuit)

there were a few sets before he came on, but prior to that, i was approached by this sweetheart — all because she noticed i was here alone ->

who knew a light shoulder tap and an introduction of names would lead to a friendship with these incredibly alluring group of eccentrics! ->

that led me to doing crowd work for the artist i came to watch?? what an unexpected turn of events?!

in the spirit of spontaneity, the following day i joined them to attend a runway show that happened to be for KL Fashion Week

then, i ended my day going to a music jam at a bar, which is where i developed ANOTHER friendship! ->

we bonded over our love for fishes and shared life experiences 🐠

i invited him to join me on my last day in KL. although it was an itinerary planned around thrifting n exploring local art spaces, he accepted enthusiastically

so much for a solo trip!

thank you for extending kindness and love to a stranger like me ❤️
