I hate that we live in a world where most of the food at a traditional grocery store shouldn’t even be allowed to be called “food”. Not all candy is created equal. Now listen, if you want your kids to enjoy their traditional Halloween candy from their Trick or Treat basket…all power to you and this post is not for you 😊 However, if you want to feed your kids with better ingredients and avoid some of the scary ones - like high fructose corn syrup, artificial dyes and preservatives - then here are some better for you swaps! Also, if you still want your kids to have the experience of Trick or Treating BUT don’t want them to gorge on all of the unhealthy candy…consider swapping their candy for something else! Have them use the candy for trade in value with you. I’m on vacation right now and let me tell you that everything I’m eating is definitely NOT perfectly low tox. The gelato and the pastries from random shops and cafes have ingredients that I don’t need to know about 😂 However, when I’m at home and I’m shopping for food to stock my house…I am buying food with selective ingredients that I feel good about. And I do this WITHOUT compromising treats because you CAN eat healthy and still have treats. Save this post for your next grocery run and follow along for more low tox swaps✅

Real ingredients > fake ingredients This is an example of why reading labels is so important. We can still eat things like marshmallows and chocolate treats but ingredients matter. We weren’t made to eat chemicals that were cooked up in a laboratory, we were meant to eat real ingredients.
