There’s no better way to celebrate Shala Social Club’s one year anniversary than a full kamayan feast! Thank you to our dear friends both old and new for celebrating this special night with us, and to the incredible team at AAPI-owned @openmarket.la for serving the most beautiful and delicious feast. 🤎

“Hands That Remember” is an evening centered on the idea that in the diaspora, though we may be imperfect with the specifics of certain cultural practices, tradition lives in the body: passed down through touch, taste, and instinct. We embody culture and heritage in the little ways we live every day. 💚
