Grateful for all the friends who didn’t forget to keep calling once I had a baby. (And calling and texting until they convinced me bikepacking with a baby would be a joy, not a burden. It was.)

It’s hard to capture it all in one post but the Commons Sessions, every one of them, was something special. I feel like I’m walking away with so many new pals having done this series. Really thankful to all my friends who gave the gift of their songs & stories, to all of the folks that came out to support the evenings, y’all were an equal part to these nights! & lastly, a huge thank you to my friend Dan & crew at @thecommonsbend for being so down to make this happen. Tears, laughs, love & everything in between was shared at these sessions. It was the real thing & I loved every minute of it.

life updates from my perch between the hills -

What a season of initiation these past few months have been. Moved to a new home, nestled amongst the oaks, redwoods & rolling hills. Stepped into the seat of apprentice, not just to the role of midwife but to deeper listening to the presence of God in both the still and the urgent. I am guided and mentored by the most incredible, heart-led women. The passing down of wisdom, woman to woman, as it should be. Tears of gratitude find their way to the surface of my cheeks more days than not. 🫀

I became a mama to a horse, goats & 3 kitties. They have cracked open my heart to a new depth of love, and the little girl in me who would sit at the top of the magnolia tree and dream about a house full of furry friends has come back to life. Some days I have no idea what I’m doing, and I am humbled daily. There are days when I am truly in heaven running through the pasture with my horse on my heels, and others, I am knee deep in mud with heavy fencing falling on top of me, laughing (and sometimes crying) at the absurdity of it all.
I lean further into trust of these beings’ wisdom and guidance, and allow myself to be tempered by the falls.🌿

I welcomed 30 with the first gathering in this new home. A full day spent with my dearest ones, both near & far - many hands in the kitchen creating a beautiful feast, trucks showing up with extra tables and chairs to bring forth this vision, extra hands dipping the last of the candles to bless this home. A evening lit by a roaring fire and flickering candles, a packed kitchen brimming with laughter + blooming with new connections, just how I like it.🕯️
Leaning into the old ways, trusting the ancient. Brigid’s presence has blessed this home, as we rang in Imbolc & the first day of my 30s by welcoming 3 new babies into the mix - goats (not humans!) this time. I am still speechless at the timing, and simultaneously, not surprised at all. A little whisper from God - you’re on your path, keep going.❤️‍🔥

And so I do my best to surrender,
deeper deeper deeper
into the ever-flowing stream of this sacred spiral 🌀
