What an amazing time with such an amazing crew! Huge thank you to all of them, especially those that travelled down from Perth!

My first time directing with an Australian crew of this size and I have to say I loved it! I especially want to thank @aimeenotolivia for her wisdom and for dealing with my frantic antics, as well as @ella.demarchi and @rohanpierotti for their unreal efficiency and collaboration with the lighting setups!

I am now going to retreat into the editing room with this one until @bugalugsclub decides to release it 😀🔫

1 month, 9 countries, 20 cities and 1 backpack!!🎒🏔️🌎

I have finally sorted through the photos from my trip to Europe and picking only 20 was such a challenge! I could not be more grateful for this experience and for the friendships I made. I met some incredible people from all over the world, and I am so lucky that our paths crossed.

I want to shout out my dear friend @isobel_potts for making this trip so special. We met each other in Vienna, Austria and ended up traveling through 6 COUNTRIES TOGETHER! I love you so, so much and I can’t wait for our next adventure.

I also want to thank Noah Kahan and his new album, as well as doner kebabs for feeding me breakfast, lunch and dinners. Also so much love to all the friends and family who followed along with @travel.with.catie

I had the amazing incredible opportunity to work with the very talented @zarahsarina creating their EP cover for their new EP "Stretch Marks" ⭐️

I feel so lucky to work with this beautiful human, and to be able to work on an EP cover filled with songs I resinate with is just so cool.

PLEASEEEEE go stream "Stretch Marks" !!! this needs to be heard world wide!!! genuinely you will get goosebumps.

TOMORROW 21/2

We’ll be down south in the buns playing a set for @southwestsetlist ‘s “RUCKUS”. It’s a 5 band mini-festival showcasing some dope talent from WA.

This event has been organised by and in recognition of the departure of the great @mollymckmck who is the deserved recipient of the Winston Churchill Fellowship and will be globetrotting to inform her knowledge of international music scenes to allow her to better cultivate our scene at home ♥️.

There are also $2 raffle tickets that give you the chance to get your hands on over $300 worth of band merch + extras (including some The Gremlins drip).

Anyway get down there tomorrow and maybe meet us at the beach for a cheeky swim before the show 🏝️ x

This Saturday is my last show before heading off to the states to begin my Winston Churchill Fellowship; investigating all things DIY, and live music for and fuelled by community.

I have always loved performing, even when I was quite shy (who would have ever thought). Music helped me come out of my shell and connect with people and I’ve seen my events now do the same for others. As a high school “gifted kid”, I could have never imagined where music and art (my “hobbies”) would take me. Through this platform and this community I have been able to create the spaces I wish I had while I was growing up and enduring my formative years lol. Ruckus is no exception, and has become the epitome of the DIY purpose and message: affordability, accessibility, and all the good cultures and values that come with alternative music.

This Ruckus celebrates all that has been achieved over the last 3 years, to the exact date that I first met with the women of Milligan to chat about the then non-existent youth music scene. Come celebrate the bands that have emerged, the community that has been carved out, and the absolute fact that you can do your “hobbies” for the rest of your life. #followurdreams #emotional
