Doors open at 7 PM
Jam starts at 9 PM — featuring a live collaboration with CIA Lightshow
Super casual. Limited capacity. $10 recommended.

🦷🦷🦷🦷🦷

A Bug Is A Friend To Me explores ideas of nature, childhood, and play through a patterning of shapes and images.
By suggesting similarity between unlikely forms, like a silly face and a beetle’s shell or a tooth and an apple, the illustration offers the question:
how do imagination and the unreal work to construct our real, lived worlds, especially in the context of childhood?
Just as how a beetle might use its bright colors to ward off predators, A Bug Is A Friend To Me invites viewers to think about imagination as protective and powerful.
So powerful, you might break a tooth! 🦷
