To mark the closing of 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘽𝙧𝙤𝙠𝙚𝙣 𝙋𝙞𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙧 Forum and exhibition, two publication launches unfold through activations that bring together a newly released publication, film, sound, and performance. The new book LE GALION EN MODE RÉVOLUTION by Erika Roux, published by Building Fictions, centers grassroots struggle, urban transformation, and collective agency, engaging questions of gentrification, neo-colonial planning and bureaucratic infrastructures in the suburbs of Paris. Accompanied by a film screening of Aujourd’hui, on est là (2021) and a conversation between, the authors and interlocutors (Erika Roux, Hadama Traoré, Cosimo Lisi & Rudy Guedj) share insights into their movement. Afterwards, the Amsterdam record release of 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘳𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘯 𝘗𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘳: 𝘈 𝘚𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘣𝘢𝘯𝘬 by Cyprus-based record label MONEDA will be accompanied by a listening performance by Emiddio Vasquez together with gervaise alexis savvias, that fabulates documentary and sonic practices around embodied labour as tools for witnessing, organising, and reimagining forms of presence and resonance. 📌 Friday, 20.03.2026, 19:00–21:30 Make a free reservation for the Closing Forum following the link in our Linktree! Μετά την προβολή θα ακολουθήσει μια παράσταση νομισματολογίας από τον Emiddio Vasquez, ιδρυτή της δισκογραφικής εταιρείας Moneda, μαζί με την επίσημη κυκλοφορία του The Broken Pitcher: A Soundbank (MON010). Another year, another Queer Wave! ✨ We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us on this unforgettable journey. To the regulars, as well as the first-timers: it was an honour to share these films and experiences with you. ⭐ Massive thanks to Dimitris Chimonas and Lex Gregoriou for hosting us at this year’s Sessions takeover of SPEL. For the first time in our four years, we felt that Queer Wave not only found a house, but also a home, in the form of this wonderful playground: Sessions x SPEL. We’re so grateful to the British High Commission for opening their doors for us north of the green line at Shakespeare House for the second year in a row. To all our festival partners, both new and recurring, thank you for walking the walk and trusting our vision for this 4th Queer Wave. To our incredible team members and volunteers, who’ve gone above and beyond this year: none of this would be possible without you. It’s heartwarming to see so many people who put their time and energy into this festival and who know exactly why we do this year after year. You are an integral part of Queer Wave. To the artists who graced us with their talent throughout the festival, and all the local and international filmmakers whose works brought us all together again this year: we can never thank you enough for what you’ve given us. It was an honour for us to showcase your works and celebrate your talents during Queer Wave. If you take one thing from this year’s festival, we hope it’s how art, in every form, is a chance for human connection, to build and sustain a community of people who put love and kindness above all else. Our community is strong, and it really showed this year in the record-breaking attendance for Queer Wave. Thank you for supporting and celebrating the queer community in Cyprus with your presence at the festival every night for those 10 days. We hope you had the time of your life because we sure as hell did. Thank you all, and see you very, very soon. 💜 #Cyprus #LGBTQIAplus #Film #Festival #QueerCinema #QueerWave2023 #LGBTQ
