Celebratory group pic after catching up & moving one of Lawrence’s big boys (Rogue) at the croc sanctuary 🐊😅

Unfortunately Rogue managed to get into a neighboring males enclosure, erupting in a battle royal between the two (Rogue vs Thrasher) 💪

We then had a fun, swampy obstacle course of various barriers to work around while catching and hauling Rogue back out.

In the end, we all got a good workout and finished the day with some fence repairs & Red Stripes before making the 2 hour roadtrip back to Kingston🍻🐊🇯🇲

Happy Earth Day from the JamCROC Initiative 🌎

Last earth day, a group of us responded to a tragic incident at a sewage pond facility that had resulted in the death of 10 crocodiles. On this Earth day we’re choosing to highlight the resilience of Jamaica’s crocodiles. Despite habitat loss and fragmentation, they continue to adapt, finding ways to survive even in artificial wetlands 💚🐊

The Holland Bay Crocodile team rescued this beautiful Jamaican Yellow Boa 🐍 in the video.
These snakes are endemic to Jamaica and are non-venomous, so there’s no need to harm them. They play an important role in our ecosystem.
If you see one, give it space and let it be. If it needs to be moved, call the experts.

After all these years of boots on the ground, this isn’t just a conservation project we’re involved in, it’s a family we’re a part of and we love you BIG. When everyone who loves crocs works together, that’s when the magic happens.

We are proud to stand with Jamaica not just for the crocodiles, but for the people as well. That’s what real partnership looks like🐊🇯🇲

And yes I’m Totally heartbroken I missed @chronixxmusic @lostintimefestival because my flight left early that morning. 😭 but I’ve been living for all the social media videos and soaking it in from afar.
