It was such a blast hanging out with other artists this past weekend at the Draper Art in the Barn! I got to reconnect with old friends and make new friends. You’d be hard pressed to find a more interesting, funny, thoughtful group of people. People who will also totally leave you mid-conversation to go talk to a potential buyer. 😂

“King of Thrones”

Born from the desert floor of Mesquite, Nevada, this Crown of Thorns rose from the earth and into devotion. Monique captured the raw beauty of these spines on a quiet hike, and together we shaped the image into a mirrored tribute—an offering of symmetry, light, and surrender.

Paired with “How Great Thou Art,” this piece is a reminder that creation itself testifies. Even the thorns carry a story of redemption. Even the harshest landscapes can become a throne of praise.

“King of Thrones” is our way of honoring Jesus Christ—through the land, through the lens, and through the art that emerges when spirit and intention meet.
