I am sorry I haven't responded to all your supporting comments in the last few days but, as you suspected, my little cottage is sold. I have been looking high and low for a rental that I could afford and found this cool Old Florida cottage. If all goes according to plans🤞🏻, I will be moving May 15. One of the nice things about this home (beside it's Key West feel and colors) is its location: right downtown Sarasota in what is affectionatley known an Artist Colony. It's a mix of vintage and new cottages. I will add many pretty plants in the front and there is a large backyard waiting for lots of love. The house has fabulous natural ligh thanks to plenty of windows and French doors. As far as size, it's actually larger than my little cottage. I will show you the inside when I move in. Later I will post photos of how it looks with my stuff in it. I have to start packing..... I look forward to share this new chapter with you my supporting and loving friends. See you soon 🏡💚XOXOXO#movingon#newchapter#floridalifestyle#artistcolony#sarasota#keyweststyle

It’s a rainy, dreary day outside, but my kitchen window cheers me up with a garland of treasured hand stitched felt ornaments that have arrived one by one through recent years. Stitched by loving hands of a friend thousands of miles across the border, a friendship spawned through our blogs, possibly two decades now. Merci, mon ami!
Live with a grateful heart! Happy holidays, friends! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Three Pines alert! It's a cool, overcast day here in northwestern Vermont, so while we're waiting for some much needed rain, we may as well feast on some delicious homemade split pea with ham soup, a croissant and a glass of Reisling. This is the first time we've used our new mugs from @bromelakebooks sourced on our trip to Knowton, Quebec last month. In my mind I'm picturing one of the many scenes in Olivier's Bistro...good food, good friends. 🌲🌲🌲🇨🇦🥣🥐 #louisepennyauthor #louisepennybooks #louisepennyandgamache #threepines #threepines🌲🌲🌲 #louisepennyfan #vivegamache #bromelakebooks #bromelakebooks📚

Brome Lake Books in Knowlton, QC-the Disneyland of Bookshops for Louise Penny fans! One of the nicest bookshops we've ever visited. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the selection of 🌲🌲🌲 memorabilia was vast...needful things for sure! We ended up purchasing a couple mugs, licorice pipes (Angela😉), a Gamache wristband and a book. After that we needed sustenance so we stopped at a cute cafe for coffee ☕️ and an almond croissant that actually had a marzipan filling.🤗🥐 Mr.Pickle had something that looked like a Belgian waffle with chocolate chips. Yum!!! Such a cute village! We took a wander down the path by the lake fed stream next to the book shop. Will share photos later... All in all, a fun day. #bromelakebooks📚 #louisepennyauthor #chiefinspectorgamache #vivegamache #bromelakebooks #threepines #threepines🌲🌲🌲 #louisepennybooks #louisepennyfan

Greetings from Three Pines, QC, more commonly known as Saint-Armand to those who aren't Louise Penny @louisepennyauthor FANatics. It seems so different from the winter scenes with the Boxing Day curling match and Christmas decorations. Kind of like the South Fork ranch in Dallas...it was all a television set and sadly make believe. It just isn't 🌲🌲🌲 without Gamache et al. The village was like a ghost town-I was able to stand in the intersection snapping pictures. Truly small town Quebec! Anyway, Olivier's Bistro is for sale if anyone's interested. On to Brome Lake Books next in Knowton, Louise Penny's home town...(photos 6-10) #threepinesonprime #threepines #threepines🌲🌲🌲 #louisepenny #louisepennyauthor

My #simplesundayshare today: Hand painted eggs collected through the years, little works of art. For years at Easter each year, our mother gave my sister and I each a beautiful China egg painted by her friend, Peggy. The three real eggs were painted by Joni, a young Austin artist at the time. The eggs on the tray were exquisitely painted by my friend Nancy Robinson. The two ostrich eggs were painted by @whatpippawantspippagoetz

Thanks Monique @monique_qc for the idea of a slightly different bran muffin recipe in your post yesterday. The recipe from @thecafesucrefarine is a notch above my everyday recipe, which is similar, but I like this one better. I didn't use the honey glaze on top, but hid 1/2 of a prune in the center of each muffin. Mr.Pickle approved!😋 #homebakedmuffinsarethebest #branmuffinsforthewin #branmuffinsforbreakfast #starbuckschristmas2022 #starbucksmugaddict #starbucksmugaddiction
