POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Today is the 10 year anniversary of our first LP ‘Adult Contemporaries’

It simultaneously feels like just yesterday and a lifetime ago, and at the heels of our new album being released into the world it feels appropriate to relive the apprehension and excitement we felt surrounding our first effort. I still have a lot of love for this collection of songs, and want to thank @kennethjohngilmore for taking the production and mixing reins on it and doing such a stellar job. Also a huge thanks to our ride or dies @jordansabolick and @danielrosenbaum who have been with us since day 1, still some of the best shredders and people we know.

I’d like to think a lot has changed since then and we’ve learned in the process, but it also feels good to admit that we’re still on the same bumpy path, propelled by a mix of uncertainty and hopefulness, always unsure of what’s around the corner but infinitely grateful to still be doing it.

If this record meant anything to you I hope we can look back and celebrate together. Thank you for being on this journey with us <3

SF INSTANT PHOTOWALK - JULY 2026
// Everyone waited for me. I took misguided advice, due to the SF Marathon today, and rather than riding my Vespa, I took the muni metro. Waiting 40 minutes for a T-Line transfer I texted our @brian_brooks (in New Jersey) who texted @vyletfemme and @cromschu (as well as @kimura_steven and @achengphotos) and they said they’d wait for me. I was like 40 minutes late, but everyone was there, and it was hugs and happiness at last. The July edition of the @sfinstantphotowalk was on…

We met at @theramprestaurant in Mission Bay, and walked up through the transitional neighborhood of new, modern buildings, old abandoned shipyards, vacant lots, and repurposed spaces. We found a boba stop in a huge repurposed warehouse, a papusa truck, a beach, flowers, and mysterious abandoned spaces. The theme seemed to be reflection. Our reflections in glass and mirrors, a reflection of the old world, and a look at ourselves in the strangely hideous new construction. As fun and warm and light as this walk was, it was thoughtful to really explore a neighborhood I once knew so well and find it somewhere else today - sadly just so much like everywhere else.

Our destination was the SF International Book Fair. A bunch of my friends said “see you there!” But good luck with that. It was jammed, and basically a mad house. A treasure trove of small publishing houses, so many people they had to line up and count who came out to determine who could come in. But I got in, and I found our beloved @mrdannysanchez and took his picture with my SX-70. That was my plan all along.

A wonderful walk today. I love this group of people so much.
We meet on the last Sunday of every month and walk. Follow @sfinstantphotowalk for more information, and join us!
