🎻 Mayumi Kanagawa – vioară Stradivarius „Wilhelmj” (1725), laureată a Premiului I la Concursul Internațional „George Enescu” 2024.

🎻 Eri Sugita – violă Antonio Testore (1728).

🎻 HOW DID THE SLEEPING MUSE FEEL LAST NIGHT?

Like a dream traveling through centuries, carried by the vibrations of a Ruggieri from 1696, a Stradivarius from 1725, and a Testore from 1728.

Three historic instruments. Three extraordinary musicians. Three stories that traveled through time and came together in Piatra Neamț.

✨ And just like that, classical music received a remarkable upgrade through Master Series Brâncuși, a project celebrating the 150th anniversary of Constantin Brâncuși's birth, bringing world-class musicians from across the globe to Piatra Neamț, with the power to awaken classical music and transform it into a vibrant, contemporary, and deeply emotional experience.

🎻 Mayumi Kanagawa – Stradivarius “Wilhelmj” violin (1725), First Prize winner of the 2024 George Enescu International Competition.

🎻 Eri Sugita – Antonio Testore viola (1728).

🎻 Mon-Puo Lee – Ruggieri cello (1696).

❤️ Last night, at the “G.T. Kirileanu” County Library, the Sleeping Muse seemed to awaken for a few precious moments, allowing us to listen to her dreams.

But the story doesn't end here!

🕊️ On October 23, the Măiastra takes flight, landing at the Autonom Auditorium for another chapter of Master Series Brâncuși, a project initiated by Daniel Ciobanu.

🎬 Until then, here's a short mood video capturing the atmosphere of last night's performance at the “G.T. Kirileanu” Library in Piatra Neamț.

When art comes to life, even time begins to sing. 🎶

In Memory of Stephan Picard 🎻🤍

Some people leave behind memories.
Some leave behind music.
And some leave behind generations of musicians who carry their passion forward.

Stephan Picard was one of them.

It is difficult to put into words what it means to lose someone who has been such a meaningful part of our musical life.

For many years, Stephan was not only a wonderful violinist and colleague, but also my long-standing partner on stage. We shared concerts, music, ideas, and countless unforgettable moments.

As fellow musicians and teachers, we exchanged our experiences in teaching, learned from one another, and shared our passion for helping the next generation of musicians grow.

This video takes me back to one of those moments — a benefit concert in 2022. Looking at these images today, every moment feels even more precious.

What I will always remember is not only his musicianship, but also his warmth, generosity, and the way he inspired his students.

A teacher who inspired generations.
A musician who gave so much to others.
A colleague, a stage partner, and a friend whose music will remain with us.

The music in this film is 《殤》 – Elegy of Loss by Taiwanese composer Galon Hsu（徐嘉良）.

“A Lament for What We Have Lost.”

Dear Stephan,
thank you for all the music, all the moments, and all the lives you touched through your music.

If I find more recordings of us playing together, I will bring them back here — so that we can share and enjoy our music together once again.

Your music continues.
Your legacy remains. 🎻🖤
