✨ CLIENT LOVE ✨ “I was recommended to go to Charlotte by a friend and I’m so glad I did. I was experiencing hip pain early on during my second pregnancy and after just a few sessions, this had gone. Charlotte put together tailored exercises that kept me feeling strong throughout my pregnancy. She is very knowledgeable, but also so warm, positive and friendly. Highly recommend.” 🤍 Sarah came to me during her second pregnancy, with lots of reformer experience, but she wanted a more tailored approach than her group class could offer. Each week we geared the session to exactly where she was that day. No plan other than leaving better than when she arrived! Not only did we work on the physical prep for birth, we also chatted about birth options, advocating for herself and giving her the confidence to have her second birth the way she wanted, and not traumatic and out of her control like her first. She was able to train all the way up to her due date, and had a really positive birth and recovery 🩷 Thank you for choosing me for this increíble journey! If you are looking for tailored support for your pregnancy please get in touch as I have current slots open 😍

I woke up this morning barely able to move my neck to the right My little boy woke up at 11.30pm and wanted me to stroke his face for almost an hour (I was hunched over his bed) Same thing happened at 5.20am and I gave up and brought him to my bed (probs gonna deeply regret this tonight) Anyway, busy teaching day planned and a gym session so I planned this little sequence to help release the tension and get my body feeling good. This is incredible for: -anyone who’s had a baby and still being woke up in the night (hi it’s me 😩) -anyone still feeding a baby -deskworkers -basically all of us who spend lots of time looking down at screens -anyone who’s woken up with sore neck/back/shoulders Grab a mat and the sequecne is explained on each slide: 1. Cat/cow Start on hands and knees. Wrists under shoulders, knees under hips. (If you have wrist issues, make fists instead) Exhale as you tuck the tailbone, pressing into the mat, rounding the spine, shoulder blades pull apart, tuck the chin Then as you inhale, untuck the tailbone, rippling through the spine, chest lifts, untuck the chin & repeat as many times as feels good 2. Thread the needle Start on hands and knees. Hands under shoulders, knees under hips. Keep your hips roughly over your knees and your neck relaxed. Take your right hand and slide it underneath your left arm, palm facing up. Keep sliding until your right shoulder and the side of your head come gently toward the mat. Let your upper back rotate, but try not to dump all your weight into your neck. Keep your left hand where it is for support. Or, if it feels ok, raise it up to the sky to increase the rotation Take 3–5 slow breaths. On each exhale, allow the ribs and upper back to soften a little further. Don’t force the stretch. Alternate and repeat as many times as you like 3. Shell stretch/ child’s pose with side reach Start on hands and knees. Bring your big toes together and knees wide and sit your hips back toward your heels. Walk both hands forward and let your chest lower toward the mat. Keep your neck relaxed and forehead supported if possible. Now walk both hands over to the right while keeping your hips back and

Monton Creative Meet-up is back on 1st September! Book your free Eventbrite ticket via the link in my bio or on my website. Come along, meet like-minded creatives and leave inspired! A few words from a Jenny. A poet, script & comedy writer Jenny has poeted around prisons for over 12 years helping free inmates… through writing! Creating comedy scripts for herself and others at events she crafts jokes on taboo subjects. A special guest in criminology departments, ethnographic scriptwriter for universities to funeral celebrant. Jenny’s career is like a walking metaphor. Everything Jenny creates is authentic, raw and to the bone. Like it or hate it she speaks the truth. Identifying as an apostrophe because she’s only little, always up in the air, everyone gets her wrong and at times - she’s possessive! If she has learnt anything in life it is this - No-one is an expert in anything. Absolutely adores the etymology of taboo language

The manager of a popular pub in a leafy part of Salford says bookings have been “flooding in” after a stylish £600,000 refurbishment. The Blue Bell pub in Monton was temporarily closed to allow its bar and dining areas to be refurbished, with new tiling, fixtures, fittings, furniture and decor giving the venue a fresh new look. The pub welcomed thirsty customers back through its doors for the first time since the renovation today, Friday 21 August. 🍻 See our Monton highlight for more. #pubs #salford
