INTERCEPTED by Oksana Karpovych is out today on TrueStory.film

Sound and image stare each other in the face as Intercepted contrasts quiet compositions of everyday life of Ukrainians since the full-scale invasion with intercepted phone conversations between Russian soldiers and their families.

"this film is a bleak and searing wiretap into Putin’s warping effect on his people and the psychology of power" - Guardian

🇺🇸 Over the past two weeks, Songs of Slow Burning Earth travelled across the U.S., bringing us together with audiences in Berkeley, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Fresno, Seattle, and New York. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who came to the screenings, shared the film, and joined the conversations.

💫 We were deeply moved by the reflections shared during the tour. As one viewer noted: «There was beauty, not gratuitous, just captured as fleeting in the fleeing from outside destroyers. I feel every person young, middle and old should be exposed to this vision of reality. It reminded me of how little I am aware of or exposed to the rest of the world here in America where we are so isolated and insulated… privileged to be protected by the oceans that keep us apart from other nations.»

🥰 Huge thanks to Razom for Ukraine @razom.for.ukraine for supporting our journey and for their amazing work bringing Ukrainian cinematic culture to the US! We’re also incredibly grateful to our U.S. distributor, EPF Media @epfmedia, for organising our screenings and getting the film to American audiences, as well as our info partner, Nova Ukraine @novaukraine, for helping us spread the word.

The tour may be over, but our fundraiser for Save Ukraine @saveukraine.official is still open! Your donation provides vital aid to children rescued from Russia and occupied areas. Help us bring Ukrainian children home. 🇺🇦
