Before Omya, there was a question most people don’t say out loud:

Is this it?

Mo was one of the first to lean into that question.
This conversation with Omani unpacks what changed after he did.

Less about answers. More about perspective, choice, and what it means to live awake.

Curious what resonated most for you. Drop it in the comments after watching.

Morad Fareed’s story is bigger than football. It is the story of a man who carried Palestine with pride, stepped onto the pitch with purpose, and turned his journey into something far greater than the game itself.

Born and raised in New York, Fareed built his foundation on discipline, intelligence, and leadership. He studied at NYU, captained the soccer team, and developed the kind of presence that does not need noise to make an impact. In 2004, he joined the first Palestinian national team, becoming part of a historic chapter that meant more than competition. It was representation. It was identity. It was a statement that Palestine belonged on that stage too.

He was also featured in Goal Dreams, the documentary that followed Palestine’s World Cup qualifying journey and captured the emotional weight of that moment in history. Through that lens, Fareed became more than a player. He became part of a story about resilience, belonging, and belief in something bigger than yourself.

What makes Morad Fareed truly special is what he chose to do after football. Today, he continues to build with purpose through work that centers health, healing, and community. Through initiatives like FC Mother and World Cup of Healing, he has shown that impact does not end when a player leaves the field. It evolves. It grows. It reaches people in ways that matter deeply.

In the UK Business Reporter today, FC Mother announced results that place the World Cup of Healing in the top 1% of social impact projects globally — with a 175x social return on investment.

The breakthrough comes 18 months after FC Mother and the Sports Doctors Network — led by Real Madrid’s Chief Medical Advisor Dr. Niko Mihic and representing the CMOs of 9 other leading global football clubs — launched the ASSISTS Protocol at the House of Lords in London.

Roughly 2x the Copenhagen Consensus benchmark for Maternal & Newborn Health, and more than 3x the pooled average of the world’s 12 best-ranked investments to deliver the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

“18 months ago at the House of Lords, we convened football’s top medical doctors in a grand global experiment: could football become the world’s most powerful platform for Mothers’ Health? Today, we share the results — and they are extraordinary.”
— Morad Fareed, Founder & CEO

The validation trial with the @pele Foundation and @flamengo in Brazil — published in Early Childhood Matters — generated 247 healthier life years and $35M in social impact on a $200K investment.
Three results stood out:

- 3 healthier life years added per family in 9 months
- 100 Assists delivered per Mother
- 41% measurable behaviour change across participating communities

FC Mother is now scaling through football’s existing global infrastructure — 212 countries, 4,500 clubs, 6 billion fans — and a six-year health legacy with @fwc26monterrey . The 2030 goal: 1 billion fans, 1 billion Assists, $1 billion mobilised for Mothers’ Health.

Every great system needs a unit. Calories. Steps. Goals.

Healing didn't have one - until now.
We call it an Assist. And it’s making historic gains for Mothers.

It is a real act of support delivered to a Mother who requested it - a cooked meal, childcare, a ride to the doctor, a listening ear - mobilized by the community through what it already loves most: Football. ⚽️

In the World Cup of Healing, the Assist changed social dynamics: 41% behavior change community wide to support mothers. Think about that - now scale it through the World Cup.

That's the power of the Assist in the World Cup of Healing.

This is how humanity heals at scale.🤱🏽🌀🌍

Mothers hold up the world.
Nobody holds up Mothers.

Until now.

We built a new health system designed around them — Mothers request Assistance, and we mobilize the football community to Assist. ⚽

The result: a whole community rallied to Assist Mothers. 100 Assists per Mother recorded. A maternal system, powered by the world’s most beloved game: ⚽

We’re proud to introduce the first-ever generation born from this system. Real new human lives, each now healthier because their Mother was supported. How much? 2 extra healthy life years per baby.

This is what’s possible when you support our MVPs.
This is how humanity will heal at scale. 🤱🏽🌀🌍

80% of a Mother's health is social.
Zero infrastructure exists to address it.

Someone has to go first. Someone has to pick up the ball and move the game to a new field.

So we did.

FC Mother fills this gap by using the world's largest social infrastructure: football ⚽ The first global movement where people compete to heal mothers.

Mothers lead the way. We build around them.

This is how humanity will heal at scale. 🤱🏽🌀🌍

Today at @fiiksa PRIORITY Miami Summit 2026, FC Mother unveiled the first scores in the World Cup of Healing — a social impact game and global competition that transforms football fandom into measurable health impact for Mothers.

The first match is already live in Monterrey, Mexico, a FIFA World Cup 2026™ Host City. Fans of @rayados and @clubtigres are competing in a 90-day health impact rivalry: El Clásico de la Madre. 11,000 fans have joined. Rayados leads 108 Assists to 55. Winners will be announced at World Cup kickoff.

FC Mother has introduced a new gameplay mechanic — the Assist. A verified unit of social support delivered to a Mother, tracked and converted into measurable health outcomes. The competition, based on Assists, transforms club rivalries into health impact rivalries.

Built on a decade of research, a City of Miami pilot endorsed by 1,300 U.S. mayors, validated in Brazil with the @pele Foundation, and now scaling globally through 18 football partnerships and a 5-year health legacy partnership with @fwc26monterrey — FC Mother's goal is clear: 1 billion fans, $1 billion, and 1 billion Assists for Mothers by 2030.
