Meet David Morancy: "PAIN is the DREAM" 🏃‍♂️

David's triathlon journey started with a friend's Ironman 70.3 training talk — and turned into his first marathon, a distance he never thought he'd conquer.

After finishing the Publix Fort Lauderdale A1A Marathon, everything clicked: if I can do this, I can do anything.

Why he runs barefoot 👟
Running in VIVOBAREFOOT keeps David connected to the ground — and to why he started running in the first place. It's not about the miles. It's about the experience.

On community 🙌
The Key Biscayne Half Marathon was David's first race with Integrity Multisport — and it won't be his last. "The energy, the volunteers, the sense of being part of something bigger — I'll be back." Next stop: the Key West Half Marathon. (🔗

On fear 💪
David once struggled with stuttering and a fear of public speaking. He worked through it with a speech pathologist — and walked across the stage in cap and gown on his last day of therapy.

Mile 17 of his marathon tested him the same way. He wanted to quit. He didn't.
"The miles that matter most are the miles when no one is clapping, when you are all alone. Be your biggest supporter and believe in yourself."

His advice: Believe in yourself. Don't let anyone talk you out of your dreams. The best time to start is when you're scared.

PAIN is the DREAM. And David's just getting started. 🔥

5K under the Miami night sky 🌴🌙

Nothing crazy. Just good miles, good energy, and even better people. There’s something different about getting out there with friends, pushing the pace, talking a little shit, and stacking miles together. 😂🏃🏾‍♂️💨

Another 3.1 in the books. We keep showing up.
