Yesterday was such a special day thanks to @brianwoulfe and @houseofwoulfepolo at the @guardspoloclub.

It was a real joy to slow down, spend time with friends and fellow designers, and enjoy such a beautiful setting together.
Wonderful company, inspiring conversations, plenty of laughter and the incredible atmosphere made it a day to remember. Feeling very grateful for moments like these.

When we first approached this villa in Northern Italy, the brief was not simply to design the interiors.

It was to bring new life to a historic home, while respecting the soul it already had.

Every detail needed to be considered with sensitivity — from the interior architecture and proportions of the rooms, to the restored frescoes, the lighting, the bespoke furniture, and the way each space connects with the next. The frescoes were not treated as decoration, they became part of the story of the home.

A reminder of its history, craftsmanship and sense of place, carefully balanced with contemporary comfort and the way our client wanted to live today.

Inside, the rooms were designed to feel elegant, calm and deeply personal. A place for music, games, conversation, rest and family life.

This project was for us was never about choosing between heritage and modern living, but It was about allowing them to speak to each other.

Outside, the garden continues the same feeling of retreat, with mature greenery, classical details and quiet corners that extend the experience of the home beyond its walls.

The beautiful custom kitchen at our Marylebone apartment.

For this space, the focus was on creating a kitchen that feels elegant, practical and softly integrated into our client ‘s lifestyle. . The breakfast banquette makes use of the bay window, turning an everyday dining area into a more intimate and comfortable place to sit, gather and enjoy the natural light.

Layered lighting, warm neutral tones, textured fabrics and dark accents bring depth to the scheme, while the marble-effect island adds a refined architectural presence at the centre of the room.
A balance of functionality, atmosphere and quiet luxury — designed for everyday living, but with a considered sense of occasion.

With spring here and the days becoming longer, it is impossible not to notice the shift in mood that comes with more natural light.
In interior design, natural light is not only about how a space looks, but how it makes us feel. Brighter interiors can support better sleep, improved alertness and a greater sense of wellbeing.
At this time of year especially, when people feel more energised and uplifted, the importance of designing spaces that welcome and maximise daylight becomes even more apparent.
Natural light enhances colour, texture and atmosphere, but beyond that, it helps create interiors that feel calm, healthy and uplifting to live in.

At our Venice project, the brief for the dining area was to create a space that felt both intimate and elegant, while bringing the original architectural details back into focus.

During the design process, we uncovered the original entrance door, hidden behind later joinery, and carefully restored it to become a beautiful focal point within the space. Inspired by the rich tones and natural grain of the wood, we complemented it with a brown marble-effect dining table that adds warmth and depth.

The view also played an important role in shaping the room, so the lighting selection was intentionally contemporary yet subtle, enhancing the atmosphere without distracting from the setting.

To complete the scheme, we also designed a bespoke family crest for our client, which sits beautifully against the original stone architrave of the doorway.

At our Battersea townhouse project, the shared spaces have been thoughtfully designed to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Inspired by the views of the Thames, the scheme draws on a calm, natural palette and a sense of quiet elegance—creating spaces that welcome you in and encourage meaningful moments with family and friends.

March is well underway and, after a few beautiful days of sunshine we had been blessed with, I cannot wait to throw open the doors and welcome the warmer season ahead.

Here is the outdoor pergola at our Grade II listed project — a space designed to invite slower mornings, longer lunches, and relaxed evenings outdoors.

Today, the spotlight is on the ceilings!
Often referred to as the “5th wall” in interior design, ceilings are a surface full of potential — yet so often overlooked in modern builds. But in previous design eras, they were celebrated just as much as the walls, if not more.

When we first stepped into this incredible Venetian villa dating back to 1881, we were in awe — every ceiling told a different story, each more beautiful than the last.

As we began designing the main reception rooms, the ceilings became our starting point — inspiring the colour schemes, materials, and layered textures throughout each space.

It was essential for every design choice to feel rooted in its architectural heritage, while also creating the right contrast to welcome in more contemporary elements. The result? A timeless blend of old and new, elegance and edge.

Something exciting has been taking shape behind the scenes…

We’ve been working on a truly special project — a private clinic in the heart of Dubai, and the first centre dedicated to Geroscience and Healthspan Medicine.

Our role has been to shape the entire spatial experience, from new layout configurations and lighting design to bespoke furniture and product design. Every detail has been carefully considered to create an environment that supports wellbeing from the very first moment patients walk through the door.

This is not just a clinic — it’s a space designed to feel calm, reassuring and forward-thinking, where design and science come together to enhance the patient journey.

We can’t wait to share more soon.

Wellness is no longer an add-on. It has become a fundamental part of how we live, work, and perform at our best.

For many of our clients, a home gym is now one of the most consistently requested rooms — a space that supports not only physical health, but mindset, balance, and longevity. Designing a home gym is, ultimately, designing a mindset — one that prioritises personal wellbeing as a daily practice rather than a passing intention.

When thoughtfully conceived, a home gym encourages discipline, focus, and consistency, gently integrating wellbeing into everyday life.

Light, proportion, acoustics, materiality, and atmosphere all play a vital role. Natural tones help calm the nervous system, considered lighting supports energy levels, and a clutter-free layout encourages clarity and motivation. The result is a space that invites use rather than demands effort.

Here, a selection of recent examples — from CGI concepts for a project in Dubai, to the gym in Venice, and a garden-integrated solution within a Grade II listed home in London. Each tailored to its architectural context, yet united by a calm, considered approach to wellbeing.
