This workout is an absolute BURNER if you want to make it that way. Definitely more fun with a partner…adds a little extra push!🔥 especially when you start talking trash to each other 🤪 @morganhoviss

Here’s the details:

EMOM40
1. 15/12 cal tow
2. 15/12 cal ski
3. 15/12 cal Air Bike
4. Rest

SCALING:
Pick a calorie goal that you can consistently hit each minute. You can build or subtract by one each round if things are too easy/too intense. Do not cheat yourself. This is meant to be difficult.

And you get a full minute rest at the end😂

HYROX partner conditioning & technique work💪🏼

Started with 60 mins in zone 2 on the treadmill

Then went into sled pulls and worked on our techniques until we were fatigued

Moved into wall balls - focusing on clean reps & perfecting our form
2 working sets + drop sets straight into a 7 minute row for a little endurance burn

Finished it off with some deep core

Putting in the work to improve together!🫡

First Hydrox simulation in the books💪🏼

A few weeks ago, I ran into @morganhoviss at the gym & told her how amazing I thought it was that she just competed in a hydrox race. She saw my interest & suggested we train for one together. My first thoughts were… but I’m just getting back into my bodybuilding routine… I don’t know if I have the time & capacity for this training right now. 24 hours later I was obsessing over it & we decided to do a sim together to see how we would do.

These past two weeks of training have pushed me to a new level physically and mentally. Running & endurance training after solely lifting weights for years humbled me to say the LEAST. But nothing can beat that high you get after doing something so hard. So I committed to the process and enjoyed every moment. Nothing can beat having a partner who pushes you past your limits & sees your potential. During the race, as I struggled, Morgan reminded me again and again “you can do ANYTHING.” Hearing those words & seeing Isaiah cheering me on, I knew I couldn’t give up. Although it felt like the easy way out.

Morgan & I completed our race at 1:10 time & I couldn’t have done it without her. I am so grateful this opportunity found me & extremely excited for what the future will bring 🤞🏼
