Getting to serve Gods house is an absolute honor and privilege

“I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭84‬:‭10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I love that the culture of @elevate.life is not a volunteer culture, but of servant leadership.

Volunteers serve when it’s convenient for them, servant leaders see a need a lead it, even when it’s not convenient.

With 65 days until our son gets here, I want to make sure he knows that his parents take serving in Gods house seriously and it’s will be something he will grow up doing

“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord”
Joshua 24:15

Can’t wait for our son to serve with us 💙

Do I believe God has the one for you? Yes, I do!

I believe that God is so intentional about creating the right person for us. When you meet that person, they are your one for the rest of your life. God worked in Morgan and I’s relationship early on in such a beautiful and cool way!

There is so much more to God's intentionality with this story, and I can't wait to share more of it with you soon!

Part 2 of How I met your mother

Did anyone else slide head first into the DMs meeting their spouse?

I’m so grateful for the God winks in our story. You’ll have to wait for part 3 to get the good stuff

A part from deciding to follow Jesus, marrying @morganlittauer has been the greatest decision of my life

September was an incredible month full of friends, travel, and being busy with purpose. So grateful for the past 30 days. It flew by but there are so many incredible memories.

Highlights include:
- San Diego trip for Wilson’s wedding
- seeing old friends in SD
- Trip to Atlanta to see my sister
- fishing with the kids
- church get together
- Son’s first MLB game
- Brit’s book launch

Q4 is packed with good stuff too. It’s going to be a sprint til the end of the year and I’m so pumped to run this race. God is good and I’m constantly discovering that more and more.

Husbands: stop trying to just be her best friend.

She already has friends.
What she needs is a husband who leads.

That means you initiate hard conversations.
You protect the calendar.
You take responsibility when the house feels heavy.

Being her buddy feels easy.
Being her covering costs something

That’s what @morganlittauer expects of me. To lead myself and my emotions. To help lead her to be all God has called her to be.

To protect, provide, and preside over our home

80 Days until my son arrives and I’m locking this in before our son gets here.

Because how I love my wife is the first leadership lesson he’ll ever see.

Which one are you defaulting to right now? Just her buddy, or the leader of your home?

Since we first started dating, Morgan and I have celebrated the 12th of every month ❤️

It's just a simple way to honor each other for saying yes. This is something simple that we've learned from our pastors, as well as our best friends who also celebrate each other on the same dating anniversary every month.

As @keithcraft would say, "Honor is what makes everything else in your life work."

80 months dating and forever to go. I love you so much!

Fathers… your voice matters!

I'm learning this now even before our son is born.

Such a cool experience. I just can't wait till he gets here! 💙
