The babes and I got more tattoos today (surprise). Morgan and I finally got matching ones and I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. Eric’s death moth is so dope too. Excited to keep filling this little arm of mine up piece by piece.

🌟 Late Bookstaversary Post 🌟

This post was supposed to go up in the last week of May, and although my procrastinating butt had plans for my 2nd Bookstaversary, I didn't post anything that day.

Better late than never right?🙈😁

I am surprised by how strong this page is going! I have had moments where I wanted to just quit - due to lack of motivation, review block, or this habit of making sure my posts looked good (which is exhausting) but the most important things I have learned and still learning are:

• Everyone's journey is different
• To not compare myself with others (which I still struggle through today)
• Those perfect accounts that I compare - some have been here longer than I, and they too must have experimented and worked on their page to be where they are now
• To not second/triple guess and overthink what I want to post (Like I did with this post and the carousel post I shared last week)

It's a learning-in-progress thing.

I also want to take this moment and THANK EVERYONE OF YOU❤️❤️, for following this page, for supporting me, for texting me about books and stuff. I have tagged some people that have been there from the start, and with whom I enjoy talking.

I also want to thank my IRL friends G, P, D, and K for always having my back with all of my fun hobbies/projects.

Bookstagram is a beautiful community (although it does have its drama) and I am so happy to be a part of it. It's a light in my sometimes dark mind.

Cheers🥂 To reading & reviewing more books and to making more friends!

ABOUT FIRSTBOOK
Help us give a million books to kids in need this holiday
season. $1 equals 1 book. In the United States, more
than 60 percent of low-income families have no
children's books in their home. This holiday season, we
want to give 1 million new, high-quality books to
children in need. 2021 marks our third year of Give a
Million, which is our end-of-year fundraising initiative
that runs through December 31. We set an ambitious
goal culminating in the gift of a new, high-quality
book to 1 million children living in poverty to take home
this holiday season.
WHAT IS GIVING TUESDAY?
On November 30, 2021, unite for a worldwide
celebration of generosity. Giving Tuesday is an
opportunity for people around the world to come
together through generosity in all its forms by sharing
acts of kindness and giving their voice, time, money,
goods, and advocacy to support
communities and causes.

Book Stack Challenge📚

#illustratedspines

A while back we did the #couplesonspines challenge. I love fun stuff on spines since I’m staring at my shelves all the time. For me, finding something cute on the spine is like a little present.

This time, no couples, find fun illustrations of other things! Of course, I had to make it a rainbow, too because @books.turning.brains challenged me.

My stack:
🐶Too Good to be Real -Melonie Johnson
🗑Dumped Actually - Nick Spalding
🔩The Plus One - Sarah Archer
🦩Back in the Burbs - Tracy Wolff & Avery Flynn
🪖Faker - Sarah Smith
🕶Martini Henry - Sara Crowe
🐶Not the Girl You Marry - Andie J. Christopher

I have to say that I have not read The Plus One, but the screws on the spine make me intersted!!

Do you like illustrated covers? I feel like they are having a heyday right now in the romance genre. I really enjoy them because they can be so tailored to the story fairly easily and I love brightly colored books.
