Reading the exam submissions from the Fashion Spaces course @ma_design_kristiania @fashion.spaces and getting sentimental. Such great work! I’m already missing my AW26 students. 🖤

Many thanks to everyone, and to the co-professor @mortenkaels !

By the way, I have no idea who took this picture, as all submissions are anonymous and identified only by candidate numbers. So, a special thank you to Candidate No. 7! I absolutely love this portrait! 🤓

The second-year students in the master’s in design are currently doing various elective courses, one of which has been Fashion Spaces. Throughout the course, we have had lectures, workshops, and excursions focusing on fashion shows within an architectural context.

The pictures are from the opening of the exhibition “Fashion Spaces/ A spatial design practice: Zines” where we exhibited our own designed zines at @fashionresearchlibrary .

As interior and exhibition architects, we face this with every project. Because of the temporality of spatial practice, you might invest weeks, months, or even years in a project, but taking it down can take only a few hours.

What remains?

From this year, we have a collection of beautiful zines. If you would like to see them, let us know, all the zines have now become part of the Fashion Spaces Archive. @fashion.spaces

Many thanks to all our @ma_design_kristiania @hkristiania and @mortenkaels for being part of this project, and to @fashionresearchlibrary and @elisebyolsen for hosting us!

With that, this year’s Fashion Spaces / A Spatial Practice project is complete.

Next year, we continue. Follow us for updates.

Fashion Spaces / A Spatial Practice, 2026.

Today we opened the exhibition Fashion Spaces / A Spatial Practice Zines by @fashion.spaces at @fashionresearchlibrary! ❤️

So many thanks to the library for hosting us, to @elisebyolsen for the introduction, and to @hkristiania for supporting the opening event. A big thank you also to my co-professor @mortenkaels.

And most importantly, to the students of @ma_design_kristiania! You have been such a great group to work with: involved, responsive, curious and incredibly creative. Thank you for bringing so much energy to Fashion Spaces!

The exhibition is up until next Tuesday — please drop by!

Why do we need print? Because then you can show drawings of Ingmar Bergman, for example.
