A dialogue of sculptural forms unfolds throughout this Southampton residence, with works by John Procario and Morten Stenbaek bringing movement and organic warmth to the interiors.

In the kitchen, Procario’s free-form, ceiling-mounted light sculpture sweeps overhead in a fluid gesture, while Stenbaek’s low table anchors the living room with its softly rounded, biomorphic silhouette. Though distinct in scale and function, the works share an intuitive approach to form—creating a natural visual rhythm between the two spaces.

Designed by Melanie Roy and featured in Hamptons Cottages & Gardens.

Morten Stenbæk’s Möbius Consoles transform the traditional console into a sculptural study of fluidity and balance. Inspired by the continuous, looping form of the Möbius strip, each console appears to move effortlessly between surface and support, creating an arresting sense of motion within a static object.

Stenbæk’s intuitive, hands-on approach to working with wood allows the material to take on an almost impossibly fluid character. Through bending, twisting, and free-form lamination, he creates pieces where craftsmanship and organic form become inseparable.

Part furniture, part sculpture, the Möbius Consoles embody Stenbæk’s distinctive language—where natural material is pushed into unexpected, expressive forms while retaining a profound sense of harmony.

Currently available at the gallery, Morten Stenbaek’s seating works embody a deeply considered approach to contemporary design, where sculptural form meets exquisite craftsmanship.

His Fluxa Lounge Chair, which debuted at NOMAD Hamptons, and the Delicia Curv Lounge Chair each reveal a sensibility rooted in experimentation, tactility, and meticulous craftsmanship.

Shaped through a dialogue between material and form, Stenbaek’s chairs occupy the space between collectible design and functional sculpture. Their expressive silhouettes and hand-finished surfaces foreground the artisan’s touch, celebrating the subtle irregularities and precision that distinguish a singular, handmade work.

These are chairs conceived not simply to be seen, but experienced—objects in which craftsmanship becomes an aesthetic language of its own.

A quiet meditation on light, atmosphere, and material, this painting by Aurel Basedow invites prolonged looking. First unveiled as part of our presentation at NOMAD Hamptons, the work is now on view in the gallery, where its luminous palette and layered surface continue to reveal new depths with each encounter.

Basedow’s paintings exist in a space between landscape and abstraction, drawing on memories of place while remaining intentionally open-ended. Through delicate shifts in color, texture, and gesture, he creates compositions that feel both expansive and deeply intimate.

Now on view at Todd Merrill Studio.

Maarten Vrolijk’s luminous Sakura pendant is a celebration of light, nature, and the poetry of glass. Unveiled at Salon Art + Design, the ethereal work immediately captivated art advisor Christopher Omachi, who selected it for his latest project: the newly opened restaurant Oriana, home to one of the city’s most beautiful wine cellars. There, the sculpture floats above the space, casting a soft, radiant glow that transforms the room into something quietly magical.

Inspired by his celebrated Sakura vessels, Vrolijk’s pendant sculptures bring light from within. Each handblown form evolves organically during the glassmaking process, preserving the spontaneity and delicacy of molten glass while achieving a remarkable scale. Vibrant, airy, and alive, the work seems to bloom in midair—an elegant intersection of art, light, and nature.

We are delighted to see this extraordinary sculpture become part of such a memorable dining experience.

It’s the last day to visit us at booth S2B and explore our outdoor sculpture garden at NOMAD Hamptons!

It’s been such a pleasure to connect with collectors, artists and the design community this week.

Our curated presentation features our contemporary makers’ work that sits in the grey space between fine art and collectible design. Each work is united by exquisite craftsmanship and bears the hand of its maker.
