"It’s not because of a return on investment. It’s not because we’re going to do better in our gold PAIR. In fact the best companies do things that nobody’s going to know they did, because it was the right thing to do. And I’m proud to work for a company that does that, and I hope that more companies think of it that way.” Tanya Rexin.

"I call that return on relationship.” Fiona Kirkpatrick Parsons.

CCIB’s Indigenous Relations Forum & PAIR Awards united Indigenous and non-Indigenous leaders to celebrate partnerships and advance reconciliation through business. We also marked 25 years of the Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations (PAIR) program.

Hosted by Andre Morriseau, the forum began with Elder Bob Baker's blessing, remarks by lead sponsor Sodexo's Stephane Champagne, and incoming CCIB President & CEO Peter Dinsdale, then Bronze-level PAIR certifications. Congratulations to Clark Builders, Connect Group Inc, Dexterra Group, Express Scripts Canada, FWS, Herc Rentals, K-Line Group of Companies, Lakeside Process Controls, National Bank, Norton Rose Fulbright, OCNI, PTRC, Siemens Energy, Skyway Canada, Sobeys and Viking Reinforcing Ltd.

Highlights were the Artisans Marketplace, sponsored by Vancity, a performance by Hayley Wallis and Celebrating 25 Years of PAIR: A Legacy of Progress and Partnership panel, sponsored by Cameco and moderated by Andre Morriseau, where Clint Davis, Michael Fox, Fiona Kirkpatrick Parsons and Tanya Rexin discussed PAIR’s impact, evolution and future.

Celebrations continued with Silver-level certifications, including AtkinsRéalis, Life Benefits Solutions, Ricoh Canada Inc, West Fraser and Wood Canada.

Roundtable Discussions, sponsored by FortisBC, explored Indigenous talent in the workplace, Indigenous procurement, community-corporate relationships, RAPs and the PAIR journey.

The day ended with Gold-level certifications for Aecon Group Inc, Aramark, BMO, Bouchier, Cameco, Civeo, ESS Support Services, FortisBC, Mosaic Forest Management and Sodexo.

Thanks to everyone for helping make this year’s event a success. Together, we continue to strengthen Indigenous relations and advance economic reconciliation across Canada.

Teamwork makes the dream work as they say, and we could not pull this off without the support of our sponsors. You’ll see many of them on race day as participants, volunteers, or spectators 💛💙

For 26 years, we’ve brought people together to explore, challenge themselves, and experience the incredible landscape of Cumberland, BC.

A huge part of that story is the ongoing support of @mosaicforests. Their commitment to community and responsible land stewardship has helped make this event possible year after year.

We’re grateful to have Mosaic Forest Management return as a Community Sponsor. Thank you for helping manage the space where we can adventure each year.
