Sharing this post by Jennifer . @jennifer.michelle.mceuen What a fabulous show. So honored to be part of it. It’s not too late to see it. It’ll be up for a few months and Santa Barbara California :

•PLANT ALLIES 🌿✨

Sharing the 20 original paintings that came together for Plant Allies, our Visionary Muse Collective // @visionarymusecollective exhibition at @lodostudios in Santa Barbara. 🌊

This experience grew through months of meeting, dreaming, painting, planning, and collaborating together as a collective ~ and then finally gathering in person to see all of these individual visions sharing one physical space.

I’m so grateful to have helped produce this experience through Chroma Soul, partnering with LoDo Studios and collaborating alongside the artists of the Visionary Muse Collective, which I’m honored to be part of myself.
There is truly nothing quite like seeing an original painting up close in the physical dimension ~ where you can see the layers, texture, presence, and feel the energy of the work.

Seeing this entire body of work come together in one place was incredibly powerful. 💖

Swipe through to experience all 20 paintings. Each work is numbered with the artist, title, and muse portrayed, and the artists are tagged so you can connect with their work directly. ❤️

All paintings in this exhibition were created on 18 × 24 inch surfaces, with some works additionally framed.
Plant Allies will remain on view at LoDo Studios through January 10.

For serious inquiries about purchasing an available original from the exhibition, please contact Chroma Soul:

So much gratitude to the Visionary Muse Collective, LoDo Studios, and everyone who showed up to witness and celebrate the work with us. 🌿✨

✨Night 1 // Opening Night ✨🌿🌀

Last night, a vision became real.

After months of dreaming, painting, planning, coordinating, problem-solving, shipping, building, and bringing so many moving pieces together, ✨Plant Allies✨ opened its doors in Santa Barbara. 🌿🎨🌊

It was so special to finally connect with so many of the other artists in person ~ to share hugs, conversations, laughter, and celebrate our work coming together in one place. After creating and connecting from afar, there was something incredibly meaningful about finally standing beside one another and seeing all of these portraits together, each carrying the unique vision and spirit of the artist who created it.

Watching people move through the exhibition, connect with the artwork, meet the artists, and experience what we created together made the night even more beautiful. 🌹

I’m so grateful to every artist who brought her vision, energy, and heart into this exhibition, to everyone who came out to experience and celebrate the work with us, and to @lodostudios for giving this body of work a space to come together and be celebrated.

And we’re not finished yet. ✨

🌀 Tonight we gather again for another special evening with the Santa Barbara community! With artist talks, live painting, and the opportunity to experience the work in person with many of the artists present. 🌿🎨

Come celebrate with us!

I’m so honored to be one artists in the Visionary Muse Collective @visionarymusecollective We are just getting ready to open our latest group exhibition at @lodostudios in
#SantaBarbara, CA. This year’s theme is “plant allies”, and I was blessed to get to know and paint the brilliant artist @lindykehoeart whose plant allies are lavender, yellow water, and cedar trees. Lindy is multi talented painter and ceramic artist that also plays the flute and loves her life along the river . In this video, I’ll take you over journey of the paintings start with a rough sketch, and then a charcoal drawing on my canvas, followed by acrylic paint and glazes and finished in @oldholland oil paint. The painting traveled with me to a full moon at @chapelofsacredmirrors where I was live painting and finally completed in my home studio on Long Island. NY I used the #mischtechnik as taught to me by my friend and mentor @amandasageart thanks for all the great support from all my friends on the @visiontrain
Anyone on the West Coast who’s around for the opening on September 25! We’d love to see you there. The exhibit will be up for a few months and there are so many amazing pieces in it that will be on view and for sale.

Portrait I made of my friend Mothabug and her babe Kohana at breakfast at Baked on Maui. Kohana ate his first piece of bacon. Love her and her art 😊🤙✨

The truth is that most of the magic in my artwork comes from all the beautiful people who model for me! These are a couple pictures of loved ones with the paintings I’ve painted of them. This has been my devoted practice for 14 years now and I have hundreds of paintings and drawings of so many of the magical people I’ve encountered in life. Im so grateful to everyone who has participated.

I’ve always been interested in fairytales, myths, and archetypes, and I also have an interest in art as a therapeutic practice. In 2012, I painted my first real self portrait. I used it as a way to tell a story about the heroine’s journey, and about navigating transitions in life. While I was making that painting, I found that it was so deeply therapeutic for me to paint myself into a piece of art about metamorphosis and healing. Spending time lovingly painting parts of my body that I had had a negative relationship with, also felt deeply healing. I immediately wanted to expand this practice to include other people. I always try to make paintings that touch on the old stories and archetypes, but that also have a personal and intimate feel to them. Every photo shoot is also a ritual.

I love working in this way and have so much gratitude for each person who has stepped in front of my camera. The 63 cards of my Mother Night Oracle deck were all made in this way, and in the back of the oracle booklet i have listed all the models and collaborators who were a part of this project. 💜This art has always been a collaboration with a vast web of magical women. 🌘🌑🌒 Thank you💜✨
