Really happy to introduce a new night I’ll be hosting — TSUKI SOUL 🌙

Inspired by my last trip to Tokyo, running around record stores like Sonic collecting hidden soul gems, jazz fusion, city pop and all the sounds I couldn’t stop bringing home with me.

Palm shadows, warm air, and records spinning all night.
Expect 80s soul, Japanese grooves, funk & deep cuts — all on vinyl from start to finish.

Joining me with be none other Japanese born London based DJ and stylist @msshortcuts so join us as we take you on a moonlight adventure.

Friday 22nd May
22:30 — late

Round 2 seeing Freddie Gibbs at O2 Brixton Academy with my guy Alessio 🔥

And honestly… he just keeps getting better. The energy, the flow, the presence — elite performer every single time. Way too underrated for the level he’s at.

Hearing tracks from Bandana, Piñata, and Alfredo (I & II) live hit different… modern classics, no debate. Personal favourites that just never miss 🎤

Crowd was locked in, bars hitting, vibes unreal — one of those nights you already know you’ll be talking about for years.

Met the crew in Tommy Biz @FlowTecs @sabzbeats @iamsites at the O2 London for Wu-Tang’s Final Chamber tour (17.03.2026) 🔥 unreal energy, classics back to back. Havoc from Mobb Deep shut it down too… then after party vibes topped off by seeing RZA in the flesh at Brix

MC. Storyteller. Comic book creator. 🎤📚

This week on the New Guardz Radio Show we had the legendary Phoenix Da Icefire in the building 🔥

From sharp bars to building his own comic universe, he’s proving hip hop and storytelling go hand in hand.

Watch the full interview + live moments from the show 👀

What’s harder… writing a 16 or writing a comic book? 🤔👇

Some more highlights from my trip to 🇯🇵

浅草寺 (Sensō-ji), one of Tokyo’s most iconic Buddhist temples. The setting was incredible, starting off as a vibrant market by the gate to a peaceful shrine and grounds. the 狛犬 (lion-dogs), which are said to bring blessings and love reminded me of ghostbusters iykyk. The temple’s architecture truly was dope. 🏯

I finally saw the life-sized Gundam in ガンダム in 江東区 (Kōtō City) 🤖 — childhood dream realised!

I checked out Record Bar in 渋谷 (Shibuya) on @uyendaylln recommendation and listened to a #casiopea record @noroism record

Grateful for the chance to meet @happyride in Tokyo 🙏🏾✨ a great photographer 📸 that got me to step my 🌙 picture game up 💪🏾

She was so kind to take me for a walk from Ryogoku 両国 to Akihabara 秋葉原, until we finally got to Ochanomizu 御茶ノ水 and stopped by some amazing record shops like #discunion 🎶. We wrapped it up with some delicious オムライス (omurice) 🍳🍛 — such a memorable day! Thank you again 🫶🏾💜

What an incredible time in Japan 🇯🇵✨ From being blown away at TeamLab Planets, eating takoyaki with @wabisabishala in Roppongi, and dancing to Parliament Funkadelic 🎶, to wandering Shibuya, shopping late-night at Don Quixote, linking with @akiakicks near Harajuku, and picking up some fresh new clothes 👕👟 — every moment was special. Can’t wait to come back! ❤️ thanks so much for making me feel welcome!
