old haunts, new hues Venice Beach on the Sigma BF @sigmaphoto recently loaned me a BF. The BF stands for beautifully foolish. As photography transitions from my fun tactile hobby into something serious and focused, I rarely find myself wandering the boardwalk anymore. The BF motivated me to get out and shoot, just for fun. I woke up at 4:30 am determined to experience the familiar sunrise with a new pair of glasses. The Sigma BF exceeded my expectations. The shooting experience took some getting used to but I eventually futz myself into an aperture priority mode with a combined AF + MF settings. That’s when the magic happened. It brought me back to my roots of shooting just to shoot. Living in the moment, connecting with the locals, playing with colors not settings. The Sigma BF, the 35mm f2, the 90mm f2.8, and the T&O color profile make for one hell of a kit. Beautiful, foolish, and fun. Thank you @sigmaphoto.

Hand Painted club truck for @wanderwellsociety The classic touch of hand painted graphics sets off this already incredible Corvair. Matching color scheme, with some metallic gold…you can’t help but appreciate work of art on 4 wheels. Thanks for the opportunity! #signpainting #vintagevehicles #classictruck #handpainted #oldschool

Imagine if your favorite BMWs, the legends and ultimate driving machines, never existed… That almost happened when Mercedes parent company, Daimler-Benz almost bought a failing BMW brand in a takeover bid in 1959. This is the story of how BMW fought off Mercedes to survive and become the top luxury car company in the world. Would BMW have been great under Mercedes? This isn’t a story about a car, this is a car story. #classiccars #bmw #vintagecars #mercedes #carculture
