191026 | 7 years since kwon jiyong finished his service successfully ♡

and i ended up going down the memory lane~ these are some of the photos and words i've written from back then . . i will never forget how important this day was to me but i often like to remind myself of that anticipation and the joy of seeing him return healthy. those who lived it know how hard this time was, not only for jiyong but for vips too. the times leading up to his enlistment and during those almost two years he was gone, everything felt uncertain and harsh – yet a promise remained: the flowers on our path would bloom once again. the seven years that followed his discharge weren't the easiest either, but as i'm writing this, and thinking back on this past year – especially the last few months – i can't help but get teary-eyed. just like then, having gd back and well is more than a reason to celebrate.

it doesn't really come as a surprise that kwon jiyong has one of the most beautiful smiles... the way his teeth and gums show in happiness makes the darkest day look beautiful and shiny. but (!!) one thing that holds a particularly soft spot in my heart is the way he smiles with his mouth closed — all that happiness transferring from his lips, to his cheeks, and finally to his eyes. something about his eye smile brings the boyish look to his features and suddenly it seems like jiyong hasn't aged a single day. the way they form two small crescent moons makes my heart absolutely melt into a puddle! especially when they're complemented with that cheeky sideway smile on his lips. oh i could stare at it for endless hours — how his eyes shine in love and joy, and the tiniest wrinkles kiss their corners. may he find reasons every day to show it to the world!

another win for my vipcarat, i couldn't resist posting this 🥹 during v8's live concert today in goyang, minghao and vernon performed fantastic baby for their encore. fellow seventeen members dokyeom and dino, who were watching the show, joined them on stage and they all vibed to bigbang together!! can't explain what dokyeom and vernon rapping top's part did to me 🤭

and to think bigbang were once the juniors who performed their seniors' songs, but nowadays they're a group younger generations grew up with and look up to 💛

i always think about jiyong but somehow i still miss him all the time T ^ T on the days i'm busy and don't get the chance to post or talk about him, part of me is constantly restless as if i'm forgetting to do something very important . . gdragon landed in incheon earlier today after his trip to london. he was probably busy his whole time there but i'm glad he could at least be somewhere else and enjoy some time with his team. now that he's home, back to his kids iye and zoa, i hope he gets proper rest before going back to work~ goodnight our @xxxibgdrgn <3 i love you always !
