New Breath Spirituality Center, in collaboration with Collar City Pride, brings you three of the region’s prominent queer singer-songwriters for a night of music in community!

Taking place November 7th at Mt. Ida Preservation Association in Troy, kicking off at 7pm.

Shannon Tehya, Julia Alsarraf, and Girl Love bring their own individual styles to the stage for this night of queer joy.

From Upstate, NY, Shannon Teyha plays groovy pop music for the soul. With an emphasis on chaotic creativity, Tehya weaves fantastical tales of heroism, tragedy, and joy through song.

Julia Alsarraf is a singer-songwriter based in Troy, NY, who writes songs across genres about (be)longing, inviting audiences to connect and reflect on our collective and individual journeys through music and mid-set banter.

Girl Love is the solo folk project of Laura Beth Johnson, who affirms queer holiness through heartfelt tunes focused on reclamation of self and faith.

Tickets are $22, link in bio to purchase!

i kept saying i should’ve taken more pictures during this whole process so thank you everyone for all the ones i’ve found floating around!

if you told twelve year old me that i’d get to play my favorite character in a rocky horror shadowcast i wouldn’t believe it. this has been one of the most fun and most validating experiences of my life!! i have felt drawn to magenta ever since my first viewing of rocky well over a decade ago. to bring her to life onstage has been a real dream come true 🖤

shoutout to @aloeveradiaz for being the riff raff to my magenta!! sharing scenes with you was the most fun and you were so easy to improv with. hope we can do it again sometime ☺️

thank you @mypalewrists for taking a chance on me and letting me take over your role as magenta!! i’m glad you thought i did her justice lol.

and thank YOU @nagini_dreamer_27311 for being the most amazing director we could’ve asked for. you made this whole experience so special and fun, i can’t imagine having a better director. love you mama nicole!! 🫶🏽

rocky horror has always held a special place in my heart but now it’ll mean even more to me forever. and i hope i get to see you all again next year! MWAH‼️

xo, adore 💋

Next up for Luna - Simon Elijah on Monday, October 26th!!! :::
Born and raised in upstate New York, Simon Elijah is a young Americana singer and songwriter with a clever wit and passion for storytelling. Simon blends the powerful simplicity of folk icons such as John Prine with a soaring lyricism inspired by contemporary greats such as Brandi Carlile and Jason Isbell. The result is an emerging talent who offers listeners an array of songs that are timeless, catchy, and deeply felt. His live performances are generously seasoned with humor and audience participation. Simon got his first guitar when he was 11 years old, and has been playing ever since. His debut album, Fly Out, was released in 2025 and he is currently spending summer of 2026 touring around the country and playing intimate solo performances to promote his second album, Nameless, which was released in May. Simon is a full time student at Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT where he is taking classes in a wide variety of subject areas. Outside of music and school, Simon enjoys many other hobbies such as woodworking, running, cycling and almost anything outdoors.
