Hey everyone its that time of year again, I am raising money for Movember again

Last year, I, with the help of Shanon Tomassone PER, Jason Nadeau, Mary Schmitt, and many others, I held a luncheon to raise awareness for Men's Mental Health, Suicide Prevention, and Cancer Screening. It was a massive success, raising almost a thousand dollars for Movember, and the Moustache Classic Hockey Tournament. This year I would like to repeat that success.
I have made this my primary cause, and take it very seriously. Mental Health being the main focus. We have all been there, even at its most base form of doubt, am I good enough, nobody cares, all the way to the extreme, like nobody will even miss me.
Stigma and fear make us hide it, make us wary to voice our concern, to be seen as lesser, a failure, or a host of other derogatory words to compound it.

For men, this is amplified. We are seen as the stalwart defenders, the strong, the brave, when in fact many hide behind these and other supportive words.
But we suffer, tragedy forces us to grieve but we don't know how. We cannot express ourselves without ridicule or anger. We drive ourselves away and deeper into ourselves for fear of being found wanting.
It leads us not to seek help, not to go to the doctor, not to get treatment, lose weight, find a better headspace that makes us happy. It pushes to bad choices, bad food, bad drink or worse, Or it could lead to a finality, one where there is no return.

I was afraid once, but that me is gone, and this is what I am looking to do. I'm going to fight the good fight, because it is the right thing to do.

So join us on November 1st 1 to 3pm for the Unforgettable Luncheon 2. 20 dollars will give you access to a full buffet, burger bar(choice of cheese and dress it your way) kielbasa and peppers, Bean Suppah by Jim and Jay, Whiskey Tango Mac, Tater Tots and the fixings to load them up and more.
We will also be holding several raffles, including an auction of a Game Worn, 2023-24 AHL Playoff Hartford Wolf Pack Ryder Korzack jersey.

Tickets will go on sale at the Bar and online, I cannot wait to stamp this stigma out together with all of you

🏒 Jersey Tour — Part 2! 🇮🇸

Going with my 2025 @moustacheclassic jersey — one of my absolute favorites in the collection. @beautyunis absolutely killed it with arguably the nicest-fitting jersey I own. 👌🔥

We’ve also got the @movember patch, because this tournament is a fundraiser for an awesome cause as well. 🥸

Unlike The Mighty Ducks movie, Iceland actually took the W last year! 🏆🇮🇸 I’ll be back on 11/21 to defend that title… or at the very least, leave with another rad jersey. 😂🏒

Shoot pucks and listen to Shufelt, my friends! 🤘

Two years ago today I showed up at an adult learn to play hockey clinic and spent more time just trying to stand, let alone playing hockey. Since then I’ve been a part of starting two teams across two different arenas, been in 4 tournaments, and have been part of starting a hockey club geared at bringing people like me into this amazing sport. You’re never too old to learn something new, shout out hockey for bringing me some of the most joy in my life over the last two years. Here’s some pictures in no particular order. #hockey #beerleague #icehockey #life #learnnewthings

YEE HAW BABY, CHECK OUT THE KICKSTARTER FOR TALES OF THE WRETCHED

Yes I know pirates don't say yee haw. No I'm not changing it. What would I change it to anyways? Yar? Ahoy? That seems kind of reductive and presumptive of cognitive barriers. Pirates of the time were actually quite intelligent and sophisticated. You should educate yourself and stop looking a fool on my post.

Another tip? Grab a book while it's hot!

Felt pretty cool breaking open a pack of Topps Premier hockey cards from 1993-94 with legendary NHL referee Kerry Fraser at Moustache Classic 7 in Danbury. CT. #nhl #hockeycards #hockey

Ending the long weekend and on the way back home from the east coast and the @moustacheclassic incredibly humbled and tired, but proud of what this group of beer league hockey players accomplish every year. I’m stoked to have won the cup for the 4th time this year but more importantly, we’ve raised over $20k as a group for the @movember foundation. I’ll post more about this amazing weekend and some@other awesome stuff that happened but for now, a flight home and some well deserved rest and then back to work. Love all of you and thank you for all the support.

Happy Veterans Day to all my brothers and sisters in arms!
