Week 34/52 so excited to share my first collab with Fields Produce Farm! Stay tuned this week for a braised beef short rib recipe made with delicious local ingredients 😋

The weather cooling down means more walks!

I have been practicing yoga with Amaya at Break Box Thought Collective and it has been so nurturing to my soul. I love seeing my friends and this weekly routine 🫶🏽 Happy Monday, everyone!

Week 32/52 nothing is better than time spent with loved ones and it’s even better when you unexpectedly run into them!

This week I got to practice yoga with @movebamaya and I loved the intention and trust behind the practice. Then, I made a ceviche that I’m still thinking about. Got out into the community and Jimothy met his run club aunties ❤️ I also picked up some local produce at @fieldsproducefarmllc

This is what dreams are made of ✨

Experimenting with mini vlogs hehe 😉

Who says yoga has to sound the same every time?

Join Amaya Weldon, Founder of Movement by Amaya, as she debuts Sense of (Play)list, an immersive yoga and meditation experience built around a carefully curated mixtape of nostalgic hip hop, R&B, and the songs that raised us.

This is movement, mindfulness, and memory keeping all in one offering, inviting us to reconnect with ourselves through sound, breath, and play.

Catch Amaya on Saturday at 10:00 am during Grand Opening Weekend: Power to the Pen.

Spaces for this offering are limited. Get your tickets via the link in bio now!

Happy Juneteenth!

As many of yall know, my birthday was yesterday, and I spent it doing what I love, laughing with family and friends, immersed in nature and culture, producing and directing my first feature length film, Roots Run Deep. 🎬

I screened a 5 minute conceptual version of the RRD film at the Tower Theater for the Big Tell in 2024. 🎥

When the film is done, it will be a docuseries spanning several episodes. I am so EXCITED!

Thank you for all the birthday wishes , texts and posts! I love you all very much. Your support means the world to me. To my @rootsrundeepfilm crew- Yall are amazing! Thank you for making every day special. 🙏🏽

For my birthday, for Juneteenth and for the love of the culture, I am asking you, my friends, to join me on my Sankofa journey by following @rootsrundeepfilm where my crew and I will be posting regular updates and insights on our travels for the remainder of the production of this film. Will you join me?

Please let me know you followed our official account by sharing our stories when you see them on your timeline. 😘 🫶🏽

Love you all to life! ❤️🇬🇭
