Microweddings will never go out of style ✨

Throwing it back to Jackelyn + Steven’s MozzaPi wedding last September in Anchorage, KY!

For couples who want a fun, but more relaxed celebration that still hold the traditions you find personally meaningful with all your favorite people, microweddings are exactly what you gravitate towards!

You can plan a microwedding in less time, take advantage of non-Saturday rates and even get access to locations that can’t accommodate larger groups!

Beautiful farm-grown florals, an intimate ceremony, some of the best food I’ve ever had, a feature film directed by and starring the groom that he made for Jackelyn leading into their first dance, late night s’mores on the dance floor, and a bubble exit?!?

This was their version of the best day ever, what’s yours?

💕 Planning your microwedding? I design custom wedding photography packages just for shorter celebrations. Set up a consult for a custom quote!

How has it already been a week?!

The night before the big day was all about
Love + Pizza… which honestly feels like a
pretty perfect combination. 🍕🤍

First, they rehearsed.

Then, we ate pizza.

And the very next day… they got married.
Such a fun night with our favorite people,
celebrating Ethan + Stephanie and soaking up every little bit of the weekend before the big day.

All You Need Is Love + Pizza.

I think we nailed the theme.

Planning a rehearsal dinner or party?

Comment PARTY and I’ll send you the full list of everything we used, including the table details, DIY sign holder, personalized coozies and more. 🍕

This trip keeps reminding me of the cross-country drive I took with my mom in 2005, when I moved from Massachusetts to California. She wasn’t about to miss that opportunity, so she flew out to make the drive with me—and had our route mapped out from BBQ joint to bakery across the country. Food stops were a very important part of the itinerary. 😂

I have my own obsession with wood-fired pizza, so today Allove and I stopped at @mozzapi outside Louisville, Kentucky.

Of course, the designer in me had just as much to look at as the pizza lover had to eat. Those enormous arched doors, all that brick and wood, the exposed beams, and that CLOCK. Naturally, I took photos of everything.

Allove has been equally obsessed with pizza her entire life. Swipe to the last photo for puppy proof—that little face has been patiently waiting for a bite for years. 😂🐾🍕

Twenty-one years later, I’m still making my way across the country with a travel companion who takes food stops very seriously. Apparently, planning a trip around something delicious runs in the family. ❤️
