Huge shoutout to and super grateful for @mpgutier & @houseofcolourswchandler for my color analysis today!!

If you’re anything like me your first thought with something like this might be “yeah, no thanks, not for me” or “that’s not my thing.” If that’s you, then like I was, you’d be wrong!

What I experienced was a chance to learn what colors/tones/season best compliment me and allow me to show up looking fresh, awake, and alive instead of washed out, tired or aged.

The coolest part, Michelle knows her stuff and walked me through how it all works and showed me the difference in seasons, all leading to discovering that I’m a “warm autumn”.

Seriously you guys, this is NOT my jam, but Michelle is so good at what she does that in a very short time I learned how to see what she was talking about and how I can find colors that will help me look my best while allowing the focus to be on who I am, not what I’m wearing… It was actually a lot of fun to do!

If I’m being honest, I’ve never felt confident to pick out colors of what to wear so I “played it safe”. Turns out playing it safe (greys, blacks, dull…) aren’t my “season” so I was actually making myself look worse! 🤦🏼‍♂️

I decided to go for it and trust Michelle because I’ve known her over a decade and I’ve watched her build this business helping people not just show up looking their best, but truly understanding why and how it works!

Michelle is the real deal and I guarantee no matter who you are, she can make you feel comfortable in the process and show you how to show up as your best self! This matters more than we know in EVERY area of our lives!

Today I was given a gift. Didn’t know what to expect, but was blown away.

When it comes to real estate , we always have to put our best foot forward.

We are in the people and image business.

I make an impression in the first 4 seconds of meeting a client.

Sometimes before I have a chance to speak or smile they’ve made a judgment.

So the gift I was given was what colors magnify my natural colors and make me appear alive!

No one wants to go in feeling washed out, or completely lost in the colors and clothing choices you make.

Honestly I was surprised at the difference between all the seasonal color palettes.

Michelle quickly brought me through a process that allowed me to feel what worked and what didn’t.

The main thing I realized I was doing is dressing for people to look at my clothing…not at me. When people meet me… it’s me that’s trying to connect with. Picking color combos that didn’t complement my color, was the biggest thing to watch out for.

Now I’m on the hunt for upgraded wardrobe.

Every photo and video clip here is from September 2024, I turned 40 and made a choice to lean into my big next FULLY. Thank you @elizhartke for being a guiding light and @drkriswallace who invited me to capture a retreat that set my year up to be all that it was. I was trying to put one photo from each month and couldn’t even get past September last year with all of the amazing people and moments!

Looking back at this past year, my heart is so full. From photographing retreats filled with relaxation and connection, to leading masterminds, capturing incredible entrepreneurs, and growing Connect Belong to a community of 30+ women who show up for authentic friendship and love, it’s been a year of expansion in every sense.

I’ve had the joy of working one on one with clients, running four Abundance Mastermind rounds, traveling to California to lead a sales team coaching session, and saying yes to opportunities that stretched me and reminded me that courage always moves the needle forward.

And I’m JUST GETTING STARTED…

And just yesterday, as I turned 41, I was reminded through messages, memories, and simple moments with Ryan how much love and goodness surrounds me. This year has been about choosing growth, leaning into service, and adding value wherever I can. The greatest gift has been watching others shine.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of the kind words, encouragement, and love you poured out. I am so grateful for each of you.
