You can be educated, successful, accomplished, respected, and still not recognize manipulation when it’s happening to you.

Most people don’t.

Because manipulation rarely starts with cruelty.

It starts with trust.

It starts with connection.

It starts with someone who appears to care.

And that’s what makes it so difficult to see.

Many people are completely unprepared for the realization that someone would intentionally hurt them while benefiting from their loyalty, forgiveness, and compassion.

Especially during seasons of life when they’re already vulnerable.

Grieving.

Navigating illness.

Managing overwhelming stress.

Experiencing loss.

Times when support is needed most.

Some people lean in during those moments.

Others see opportunity.

Not because they don’t understand your pain.

Because your pain doesn’t serve them.

Most of us were raised to keep trying.

Work harder.

Communicate better.

Be more understanding.

Never give up on people.

Those beliefs create successful careers, strong work ethics, and resilience.

But when they’re applied to someone who repeatedly manipulates, lies, dismisses, or emotionally abuses you, they can become incredibly damaging.

Because no amount of trying harder can make someone value what they have already decided to take for granted.

No amount of explaining your pain can create empathy in someone who benefits from ignoring it.

And no amount of sacrifice can earn respect from someone committed to disrespecting you.

One of the hardest lessons many people learn is this:

Hope can keep you attached to situations that are preventing your healing.

The moment you stop blaming yourself for someone else’s behavior is often the moment healing begins.

The moment you recognize the patterns.

The cycles.

The manipulation.

The moment you realize:

You were never the problem.

If this resonates with you, know this…

You are not weak.

You are not broken.

And you are not alone.

Healing starts when you stop trying to save people who are comfortable hurting you and start choosing yourself instead.

It doesn’t start with abuse.
It starts with care. Attention. “Love.” Validation.

Then comes the confusion.
The self-doubt.
The silence.
The rewriting of your reality.

Until one day, you don’t recognize yourself anymore.

If this reel felt familiar, your nervous system may already be telling you what your mind has been trying to make sense of.

You are not weak.
You are not “too sensitive.”
You are waking up.

Healing from manipulation takes more than awareness.
It takes nervous system repair, truth, support, and rebuilding trust in yourself.

If you’re ready to break free, reclaim your power, and take back control of your life…

I help women do exactly that through transformational coaching.

Abuse and manipulation don’t just hurt in the moment.

They make you question your judgment long after it’s over.

Healing takes intention.

Support.

And the right tools.

You don’t have to do this alone.

Share this with someone that needs it.

Maybe for you it looked like:

Re-reading a text 10 times trying to make sure you didn’t sound “too emotional.”

Practicing conversations in your head before bringing up something that hurt you.

Apologizing just to stop the tension.

Walking into meetings already anxious about how a boss or client might react.

Overdelivering… hoping this time you’d finally be appreciated.

Accepting crumbs from someone who once gave you everything in the beginning.

Telling yourself:

“They’re just stressed.”

“They’ve been through a lot.”

“No relationship is perfect.”

“I just need to communicate better.”

Until one day you realize you’ve been the only one working hard to keep the peace for someone never concerned with keeping you.

That realization can bring so much shame.

Especially when you’re strong. Accomplished. Intelligent.

The person everyone else thinks “would never tolerate that.”

But manipulation rarely starts with cruelty.

It starts with kindness, chemistry, then mixed signals, then potential and then cruelty followed by kindness.

And there is no shame in needing time to see clearly.

Some of the strongest people I know stayed too long in rooms, relationships, partnerships, and environments that slowly disconnected them from themselves.

Not because they were weak.

Because they cared deeply.

And because they were trying to make something work that was never being carried equally.

You are not alone in that. Awareness is the first step.

Release yourself from the shame. Learn. Do better. But not alone…

In this video, you will see me doing cognitive behavioral training. This is NOT an instructional on how to do lunges.

I’m creating awareness surrounding Lupus + trying to provide HOPE to Lupus and neuro-Warriors.

If you want it badly enough…you put in the effort…do a bit of crying along the way, shake it off and let it out-YOU CAN GET THROUGH.
⬇️
Many don’t understand that Lupus can attack the brain. In my case, after surviving 9/11 my Lupus caused havoc.

It attacked the area controlling coordination, spatial orientation and language processing.

Now, doing a normal workout for the average healthy individual can be challenging.

Imagine feeling like you want your legs to do something, but they won’t cooperate.

Or feeling like you’re about to fall 2 stories, yet, your foot is only 6 inches from the ground while doing a lunge.

Or seeing the first letter of a word and not being able to speak the full word.

When I first experienced this, I was terrified and very sad.

Fitness was my constant companion. The one thing I could always turn to for joy, loyalty, safety and release. I could COUNT ON IT.

Once I got over the shock - I was determined to figure out a way to manage + reverse it.

I am proof it can happen.
And I can help you learn how! 💪

Through practice and cognitive behavioral therapy, I have learned how to retrain my brain to direct my body.

It’s like a re-wiring of sorts. It also takes an EXTRAORDINARY amount of mental energy.

I’ve learned through therapy that visual cues and demonstration help me.

A therapist or a trainer demonstrating in front of me during each movement helps my brain process and send the appropriate message to my body for movement.

Asking the therapist or trainer to repeat their instructions over and over and over helps.

Demonstrating the action without words—so as not to overwhelm my brain with too much processing at once—WORKS.

It’s all about discovering what works for you.

So, before you throw in the towel, give discovery a shot. Let me guide + support you.

Let me demonstrate alternatives and what has strengthened me.

And….remember, never give up.

💪DM or TEXT to allow me the honor of COACHING you.
