👤 @analogueonly 📷 #leicam7 __________________________________ This Leica M7 isn’t my first 35mm film camera but it would most probably be my very last 35mm film camera on my shelf. “How did I first get into film photography?” Growing up I always have interests in photography as I used to work around with creatives and photographers/videographers because of my job. I had this fear of picking up a camera is because I felt like I couldn’t handle the mechanics and couldn’t figure out what to do to make a proper picture. Until 6 months ago, I officially started my photography journey and I just couldn’t stop after receiving the negatives from my first roll of developed film. I guess what helped me to encounter the fear of picking up a camera is what’s been happening around the world, which reminds me nothing lasts forever and we need a medium to keep our memories. And I picked photography as my medium of doing so. “How did I meet my Leica M7?” I was so obsessed with old cameras and I collected a wide range of film cameras, from classic slr Pentax K1000 to medium format Pentax 6x7 , as well as point & shoot Olympus XA. Until I saw my Leica M7 in a second hand camera shop in Hong Kong, I traded all my cameras away in exchange for that one and only everyday camera.
