I pretty much stayed locked in our media room for most of August while I finished my first manuscript draft of my book.

Michael held it down with the kids the whole month in between meetings and gave me all the space I needed. He even held it down with the laundry…. And he hates doing laundry.

Once September came, I had to grind to create my September challenge for my Confident Woman Community. Michael didn’t complain about giving me the time that I needed to get it done.

Then, I got sick with C0v1d 🥴 and he’s still heating up warming pads for my back when I have the chills, buying me medicine, and letting me rest and sleep in.

He’s making lunches, getting groceries, smoking steaks… all while still taking great care of all of his business clients and employees.

@michaeljpittman is the most supportive, caring, and thoughtful man I’ve ever met… and he’s mine. Being sick sucks but it’s so much better with your favorite person on your side.

The only thing he even asks of me is to make his protein shakes and (sometimes) his coffee. Idk what I ever did to get SUCH a good man. I am spoiled.

I’m still waiting to find out that he’s a superhuman. No one is THIS positive all the time.

Shoutout to men who legitimately love their wives like Christ loves the church and serve their families with a positive attitude 🤍 I’m convinced there’s a special reward in heaven for you!

Transparent post :
I’ve been ridiculed more times than I can count for “going on & on about my pain “ I would be helping women behind closed doors & being told by people that I love to stop sharing & just move on. .
.
I can be honest & say those Statements quieted my soul because there was never a part of me that wanted attention for Being broken. I never wanted pity for having a hard life ...especially once I realized that I wasn’t the only one experiencing difficulties in life. .
.
I would listen to these women in private & hear their hearts cries for peace & quiet from their demons. Then I would weep because I was experiencing so much & I knew that my freedom was tied to theirs. It’s kind of like going to work and spending your money on your family/bills & not yourself. I knew that what I experienced would set others free. But I stopped sharing. .
.
I know it’s hard to speak up & share your pitfalls in life. I know it’s hard to tell others about those darkest places inside—the places that still beckon your name , I know it’s hard to sit amongst people that aren’t going through what you are & feel isolated. I know what it feels like to feel like a stranger in your own body, I know what it feels like to wake up and feel like “I’m still alive & I don’t know why!”

.
I want others to know jesus. I want others to know the freedom that can be only found in him. It’s not popular to get on social media & say I’ve been raped, beaten & molested more times than I can count & im still standing. It’s difficult to get on here and tell how hard I fought to BELIEVE what God said about me. It’s hard to share that I’ve lost friends & jobs because of circumstances that I didn’t feel in control of. It’s hard to get up here & say that learning that “my best” wouldn’t always be good enough for everyone. .
.
I am FREE.
I am WHOLE.
And I am no longer ashamed of my journey. God will FOREVER get the glory out of my life !!

This picture represents a big part of our #marriage #testimony. @zaypitt likes to jokingly bring up the fact that @michaeljpittman was a Pittman before I became one. :) We got married while we were young, poor, in school AND we had a little one to feed. There were so many factors against us but I can honestly say that God did it for us! From the devastation of miscarriages to the celebrations of births and graduations, we understand struggle and have grown to love each other better. We build community for other married couples and work together to eliminate divorce as an option because we are so thankful for the gift we have in each other. This is a regular Sunday afternoon at our home. The ladies are hanging out somewhere in the house and the fellas are just sitting here. Although I’m introverted, I believe that being hospitable and having accountability is important. I’ve grown to love having people around and sharing my life with them. I have absolutely nothing to hide, and that’s a great feeling. They’re part of my village. We laugh, learn, share, pray, praise, eat, encourage, rebuke and give. Our church service is a continuation of our life with more family, friends and visitors, not an additional event. Unfortunately, there are so many others who aren’t here.

What a Power Couple (and cute little boy)! We were able to hear the vision and heart behind Pastors @michaeljpittman & @amandaapittman . Their new church @thegatheringoasischurch is making a way in the city of Atlanta for an urban expression for young families. We are thrilled to cheer them on!
